What do you think about new Facebook reactions? I kinda like them alot. So fancy!

I never bothered with Likes before, so these don't change my day a hell of a lot. It is nice to express things other than satisfaction, however - always bugs me when somebody 'Likes' that your day was utter crap, or some such.

Apparently they can't be used for advertising purposes just yet, from what I read? Probably put a damper on a lot of companies.

I am not a big fan for Facebook and hate all the time because of their bad support. They might made these changes to enjoy people, but without those smileys I have enjoyed all the time. Mark Zuckerburg when he will replace the unlike button back, so everyone will know the real votes.
I think you are a fan of Facebook to spend so much time on FB.

Actually not at all, I haven't updated my FB profile since December 19, 2015
I used to be very active on Facebook for marketing porposes, Facebook pages, Facebook advertising etc. but now just updating my Facebook pages and liking my sisters photos too.;)

It doesn't really make sense to have the faces like that. If anything, they should have added "dislike" "helpful" "informative" "funny" "thanks" or things like that. Having the faces just looks silly and childish emojii-like rather than expressive. Face and expression icons have been around for a long time (before yahoo and msn messenger) but for facebook, it just doesn't seem to fit. I probably won't be using it, but then again I'm not a big fan of facebook and the censorship among other things there.

@moneyman
Zuckerburg should have big shame for removing unlike button. He also made a faulty information to our telecom department that they offer free internet service to people.

I may look what he said in his statement and paste here.I tried to say no, but their isn't a button for clicking no, all have to click the yes button.

It shows Facebook use latest technology to fool people in order to promote his site. We are slaves to them as what they want they can do, but we are the ones who face problems.

It all became a little overwhelming, most people still stick to the traditional likes. I had heard that they were going to implement something new before they launched them. What I heard was that they were just going to put a dislike button. They went further then that. There are still people giving likes to stories of personal tragedy, which doesn't make sense, you would think they would use the sad button. I think if we have to discuss this issue again a year from now we will have a completely different view in relation to it.

This pretty much sums up the way I feel about the emojis they've added. I'd rather be able to use words, just as you've said.

It isn't that I disagee with having additional options there aside from the "like" that has been there up until now. I think having additional options is a great idea and will allow people to be able to communicate their true intent a lot more easily than simply "like". Sometimes you don't want to actually "like" something, but more think it was funny or agree with the sentiment. Having these options therefore is a good idea in my opinion.

That being said though, I would've preferred if they were simply additional words instead of the child-like faces they've opted to use. I know they're more universally understood perhaps than words could be but it only makes the site seem more aimed at teenagers in my opinion.

I haven't seen or bothered with these "reaction" things, that appears to just look like giant emoji's/emoticons/smileys. I do use the link button on images pertaining to miniature work, to show that I am participating properly in groups, and hopefully will also receive some recognition when I post things similar. But I don't really bother to post likes or anything on personal business. I'm not on Facebook that often enough other than to share my work and comment on another.

I love Facebook and I love the new reactions. it always seemed kinda weird before to only have like as a selection when you agreed with something someone said. For instance, if a friend asks for prayers and good vibes b/c she has just been diagnosed with diabetes, you really do not wanna like that but you do wanna let her know you care and are concerned. The sad face does just that.

I am not really the biggest Facebook user out there, but I have to say that I like this little addition to the mix. At this point I just figure why not when it comes to things like this, and it just makes sense to keep tweaking and adding new little features to stay relevant and updates with all of the other sites that are coming out now. I bet that there will be more to come.

You know what I wish facebook would add? They have had what, over 10 years to add basic features that we have on every single forum: FONTS, BOLD, ITALIC, and TEXT COLORS!

Why is it that people can't use bold, underline, italics, or any type of rich font clone in that way with Facebook when it would help any communication or use that people want to do with it (business, promotion, or personal)? Does anyone know why they would exclude these basic features, yet let multimedia, pictures, and everything else be present there?

Well, as far as the social communication goes, I don't think rich text is really needed (not as much as different reactions, at least: they allow users to show their feelings about something much faster than, say, writing a post or a comment), but I can see why a business may need it. However, business have only recently started to use Facebook as a means of promotion and advertising, so it may look like a "time spent to implement this feature / actual advantages it would bring to a selected batch of users" matter to them.

I really liked the new facebook reactions however, I am yet to make use of these reactions. Now we don't have to type a sentence to say how we feel about the post, we can say with the reaction. THis eases out interaction.

I think the new Facebook reactions are ok, and they serve a purpose. The most requested thing people wanted was a did like button, and while they haven't got one of those, these kind of make up for it.

Having said that, I've still only used the like option, and I've stuck to what I used to do in the past, if I didn't like it, I've just ignored it and scrolled past.

I think it's a nice improvement, but the interface could be simpler to use. I mean, I really don't get if I am clicking like or how to access the other icons. Sometimes I really don't want to be bothered thinking about it.

From the FB perspective is great, just imagine the amount of additional information they are collecting to sell to whomever they want to. ;)

I didn't think of it that way, but your right, knowing your reaction to things can really help sell stuff. They already sell our phone numbers so might as well sell the whole package.

I think that the Topic if Facebook sell our data or not as been discussed to death to be honest, they say they don't, others say they do.

Either way, most of the time they don't even have to sell it as we freely give it away anyway. How many people have their phone numbers and e-mail adresses freely available on our Facebook profiles and don't bother hiding them? The privacy and security tools you can use on Facebook are pretty good, the main problem is that people don't always use them.

When you get a lot of likes it turns to love.
When the comments are sad you see a sad face. When hilarious and funny you see someone laughing.
Facebook has just gotten better according to me. I am not really a fun of Facebook but I give credit where it is due and that is great.

Pretty much. Just notice how specific the emotions are, so they are chasing something specific. As for the interface, after writing that post I did notice that it's pretty simple lol, just mouse over the like button to see the options. :D
