As reported by Wired, Facebook's high-ranking privacy chief officers, Michel Protti and Erin Egan have promised in an interview with Wired that they will make radical changes and privacy reform that will make Facebook a better platform for all. Many critics, however, don't simply believe their sugar-coated words since they knew Facebook gains a huge chunk of revenue is from selling its users data, so they must downsize and lay off a lot of people to cut the cost if those privacy measures were to be implemented.

Social media Facebook is experiencing privacy issues in 2019. Mark Zuckerberg's platform admits that it accidentally uploaded or uploaded 1.5 million contacts and emails. it was very severe and fatal

Well, to visit any website in Italy, asks: "Accettare i coockies?" (Accept the cookies?). And we must answer SI (YES) to be able to view correctly. And that data is then disclosed!
So, in my opinion, it's not just Facebook that uses our personal data!

that is very horrible. it means that we allow the site to track our history. indeed problems like this are becoming more and more complicated

In Italy there is a law on the privacy of the personal data of each individual, for every circumstance!
For this reason, what the tracking sites do with our data, should not be allowed !!
But, on this well-known problem, our government should intervene. But for now, it's not doing it! ? ?

Yeah i know. Europe is much better in privacy law. Many other countries still dont pay attention about this one. Poor us

Yeah like others don't. Facebook is the biggest however it makes it seem as if it is a sole player in this privacy abusing thing. Like this whole internet consist only Facebook, and Facebook only.

Somehow I thought maybe this kind of article mesnt to throw negative sentiment over facebook, but 'they' don't realized that in the other hand it is forming a masses opinion that Facebook is the one and the only. Lol people do stupid things when hatred and envy dominating their mind. Like double edge sword.

it is shameful. An error that occurred on Facebook is thought to have made the accounts of a number of users locked and unusable. Some also claim that their accounts are closed by Facebook.

Well , one change is the stories option , that you can not put off , and I've seen a lot of people complain for the purpose , Next thing is the standard of blocking posts which is ambigious as well , both options can be taken a keen look at in my opinion
I have noticed this post blocking too. The bot there is very sensitive and will not allow you post a link or anything that has to do with advertising of products that they really don't want. This should be changed too for a better user experience

Press x to doubt, almost half of their revenue is from selling their user data, from multiple platforms, Instagram, Whatsapp and Facebook, but it's great if they really intended to improve their user privacy protection

The issue of protecting user security is one thing that the social networking site Facebook is seriously working on. Naturally, crimes through these sites continue to occur, whether acts of harassment, humiliation or even as a trigger for suicide or divorce. To minimize this impact, Facebook has hooked up several security agencies as well as an institution that provides input on all policies taken by Facebook management. There are at least five institutions that are now collaborating with Facebook, one of which is Childnet International.

Facebook making this move is quite impressive. I hope the agencies they are in collaboration with do a good job so that people are convinced of their intentions.

I know that so far Facebook has been trying to improve security, but in reality, crime on Facebook is still high because the perpetrators have not been caught and they are getting smarter in cheating

I guess that facebook just has to find a way to beat those perpetrator at their own game and that is why I think the collaboration is a good thing.

Now, it is harder for us for having double facebook account. But many scammers are in easy way to do that. I just wonder how can they do that

It's certainly not just Facebook that sells on our personal details. I've known even governments to do this. That's why there's the saying Big Brother is always watching. Personal details is big business and we'll never truly be safe.

I have seen some tasks on microtask site where job posters ask for workers to open facebook with their details and I have a feeling that is one avenue they can use in getting those accounts.

Yes, I know, unfortunately today many know practically everything about us (and at least here in Italy first of all the companies to sell their products).
Once upon a time, a system was being studied here to avoid being disturbed by their boring phone calls, but in the end it hasn't been mentioned anymore!

I know! It's just frustrating. Governments claim to be doing something to stop it but they are also guilty. I used to HATE those cold calls! And now we also have websites following us around and tracking our browsing trends. It's just crazy!

My first FB account was created way back 2009. Haven't got any problem on privacy. Hmmm... sensitive information? Like what? Bank accounts? Social security number? They don't ask you that. If you post sensitive information like that then that's when you'll get privacy problem. It's just my cent.
I think the poster meant that privacy issues like selling users data to advertisers which is really bad i think , and facebook do this very well , so they are finding ways to reduce it

Yeah i ever heard about this. I do remember when facebook was under investigation after selling data to cambridge analytica
