As reported by Wired, Facebook's high-ranking privacy chief officers, Michel Protti and Erin Egan have promised in an interview with Wired that they will make radical changes and privacy reform that will make Facebook a better platform for all. Many critics, however, don't simply believe their sugar-coated words since they knew Facebook gains a huge chunk of revenue is from selling its users data, so they must downsize and lay off a lot of people to cut the cost if those privacy measures were to be implemented.

It is normal for the Facebook critics not to believe them either because they don't see anything good about Facebook or because the platform has promised and failed saveral times.

I think that they have started to experience large mass withdrawal from Facebook which makes them to see the need to restructure Facebook privacy mechanism .

Things will not continue to be same, if they don't step up their games they could loose their subscribers in a very short time because if people become aware of selling of their data they will feel disappointed.

I withdrawn some of my data and Information from Facebook after reading about how they breach privacy . People are aware of this , it is just that they are not ready avoid Facebook .

Probably, I personally don't share sensitive information too on Facebook again, we are previledge to be here to have access to confidential information .

I think people's complaints have started getting to them. They should know that things cannot just continue the way it had been because people are getting more enlightened and now know the value of privacy.

I always think that facebook is number 1 users date leaker
They manipulate the users most by their data mechanism
Now many peoples stop using it just only for data leaks
Ans i also thinking that stop using fb

Yeah and have something to go home with at the end of the day . Facebook is just for people that don't have value for time, and their privacy too . Each time I remember beermoney , I do pray for @BMF for creating this opportunity for us to have something worth spending time on and without any reason to be concern over privacy

I don't believe all these like what privacy reforms would they take , it's better they scrap it completely then it would be known that there is no issue of privacy

i don't think that people that moved to other platforms (that still belong to facebook tho lol) such as instagram will mind coming back to facebook again after what happened the last time

What happened the last time that made them move? Or it's still the same privacy issues because boyh Facebook and Instagram sells ads space to advertisers through people's privacy data

Am I a Facebook member since September 2009?
No one has ever harassed me there, so I never had to report to anyone. This is important to premise.
But, you mentioned the sale of users' personal data.
And then I wonder: Could this be the explanation for the many commercial phone calls that I receive daily?
You have to see my friend, that now they have really bored me a lot!!

Its not like that
Facebook uses its users data for their own use, example ; you are chatting with your friends about one thing, later you will see ads on your news feed or others apps or site suggests that thing to buy or take services
You can watch 'the great hack' by netflix
Then you will know how its work

I see. Therefore it is the classic functioning of cookies.
Thank you

My first FB account was created way back 2009. Haven't got any problem on privacy. Hmmm... sensitive information? Like what? Bank accounts? Social security number? They don't ask you that. If you post sensitive information like that then that's when you'll get privacy problem. It's just my cent.

Well, obviously some of my sensitive data are not within anyone's reach!
However, they know my name, surname, address and telephone number!
Clearly, I have provided such data. However never said to disclose such data to third parties.

I shouldn't believe this especially that it coming from facebook that makes money from selling users data. So yes we should still be careful using the platform.

the same, I also doubt it a little. As we know, Facebook has problems related to privacy. arguably, it is one of the real Facebook products

Well , one change is the stories option , that you can not put off , and I've seen a lot of people complain for the purpose , Next thing is the standard of blocking posts which is ambigious as well , both options can be taken a keen look at in my opinion
