Ethereum Developer Virgil Griffith will be spending the next two months in jail before his trial in September.
Virgil Griffith on July 9 was granted bail with the condition not to access the internet until after his trial in September.

Seeing that his profit has increased by $1 million he was tempted to access his Coinbase account and as thus violated the terms of his bail. He has to remain in prison till September.

The nail condition pronounced in Griffith's case seems tempting and ridiculous. The court should have ordered that he surrender his passcode and limitation placed on the operation of his account rather than leave him with all access and expect that he would not access that.

That is so sad for him. I would also be tempted to look at my account if it was making a one million profit. It is so sad that he can't have that freedom. I wonder what he did so to be given such punishment.

He should atleast obey the order of the law. It's not like he cant sue internet fortn the rest of his life. I guess he have too much money to pay the bail again and again but spending time on prison sucks

He should have obeyed the given instruction , but what offence did he even commit that made him got into the jail and am suprise that he is ethereum founder

It's just too bad how you expect someone that is hungry not to look at the food in his or her front...that's too great a task to do for anyone with such profit.
Honestly, you just hit the nail on its bare head. The verdict still remains a mockery of the judicial process because it is possible for Griffith not to admit the fact that he withdrew from the account in the event such act happens. He can just defend himself by saying that hacker hijacked his crypto wallet account and he no more has access to the account.

Well , not in advanced countries where his IP address was known and if he claim so , there will be further investigation on the wallet that received the payment

But if it were so easy to recover funds or get the identity behind the crypto address that received the coins, why do scammer have their cake with ease. This is to say that even if the receiving account is traced, which wallet provider would reveal the identity behind it or what if the account that received it is unverified.

...even on the issue of tracking the I address, it may be a difficult task to be convinced that the coins were transfered by him because he can as well communicate someone else at a different location to carry out the task for him while he sends the passcode to him

Scammers who hacked cryptocurrency exchange sites are not free from being caught because such account to which the money was sent to us usually flagged.

well rules have been clear, no internet till his trail in September but he ignored this rule. So the bail is gone.
Even thought it seems to me a very ridiculous bail condition in 2021, for someone that is a digital native.

Would that be a negative news for Etheruum? I could not see any drastic movement after the news. I think the news is already digested.

Could this be said to be the love of money. Because I don't understand the disobedience just to check this wallet now he will have to be in jail for a longer period of time

I think he was enticed by the profit he saw and wants to see some before a crash happens. He forgot that he is being monitored

You cannot blame the man but I guess that is a very harsh term to impose on someone. It is just important to have access to your funds whether it is through your personal bank or self because in this situation he actually needs the money.

His trial was on money laundering so tempering with the fund on the wallet is like tampering with the evidence against him. This is the issue here.

Ohh yeah that is understandable then. It means he tempered with evidence that was before the courts of law even when he knew very well the results. I smell some shady activity here.
