The International 8 is the biggest eSports event of the year!

I will be trying to make a profit out of this tournament so I think about sharing some bets and predictions about the coming games.
This will be a short journey and if I succeed on it, I might continue sharing picks on different esports matches and might as well do sports (for e.g. Basketball and Tennis).
So if anyone wants to add and verse out their opinions on my predictions and picks, feel free to comment on this thread. Let us make things lively and help each other during this course.

For schedule of the games* Let's be updated.

• Group Stage - August 15th - August 18th, 2018
  • All eighteen teams are divided into two groups where they play in a Round Robin format.
    • All matches are played in a Bo2.
    • The top four teams in each group advance to the Upper Bracket of the Main Event.
    • The bottom team in each group is eliminated.
    • The remaining teams advance to the Lower Bracket of the Main Event.
• Main Event - August 20th - August 25th, 2018
  • Sixteen teams play in a double-elimination format over six days.
    • Eight teams begin in the Upper Bracket, eight in the Lower Bracket.
    • First Lower Bracket round is Bo1, Grand Finals are Bo5, all others rounds are Bo3.

For doing bets: I'll be using units betting.
I will be predicting the games but not bet on all of them, its always the risk you take if you follow it. :) Moreover, I will share some of my slips especially during the Main Event.

Few hours remaining before the groupstage starts!
It's Day 1 of The International 8 and we have'nt seen the teams compete yet at this level. There's no concrete picks to be made at this moment so we will rely on what their performances are before and how strong they look as a team.

PS: The numbers beside the team are their rankings based from jD (JoinDota.com) I know it doesn't have that much effect on how the game will turn out because Dota 2 is an unpredictable game with many heroes to choose and play with. It's just a matter of psychological factor that helps us pick sometimes.

OP'nion(?): LGD is the #1 team in China and the World while team OG just formed their team recently just for this tournament. They've been consistently shaky at most times so taking LGD is the better choice.

OP'nion(?): Though Liquid are the champions of last TI and they're serious on defending it, Fnatic have the surprise factor in this bo2 game. I can feel that they can pull an upset here.

OP'nion(?): Disciplined Mineski team vs the slumping IG team. I just don't feel IG taking a game here or maybe they will if Mineski plays sh*tty dota which is highly unlikely.

OP'nion(?): This is seriously a coin toss game but since EG got their groove back without losing any series and mostly 2-0 during the qualifiers, I'm backing them to take this bo2 with a sweep.

OP'nion: Serenity were flawless during their qualifier run, I still wonder if they can do it in the bigger stage. They are considered as the dark horse. We will see later. Hence, I'll take this bet as the odds are just so good for Secret. Taking the risk.
