No they pay the winners of the tournaments, and each game has different prizes and not all of them are cash prizes, for example for league of legends 1st place get 100$ per team (5 players so 20$ per player)...etc

So, this is more like a platform for gaming competitions where the winner gets a prize. It's not really a good source for income.
