Elon musk said that AI (Artificial intelligence) will be able to beat human's intelligence, and he also said that whoever doesn't believe that is stupid.
i personally think that it will never happen and machines will never be able to reach the inventing level like human does, what's your opinion?

it all depends on who or what programmes the AI. if its the village idiot who programmes the ai, the ai will be as dumb as the village idiot. but if its somebody with a high iq, the ai will be as smart as the person who programmed it. i do believe that ai´s COULD be the down fall of the human race. the masses have become slaves to technology rather than being the masters. being the slave is a big problem. all you have to do is observe how most people have their faces stuck in their telephones 24 / 7.

1 of the biggest down falls of ai´s is the energy they need to run. ai´s are super power hungry.

I am afraid you have somewhat missed the point of AI. The whole point, and why people are worried about it is that it can teach itself. This is where AI is distinct from traditional computer programs. Previously, a program would do what it was programmed to do, nothing more or less, but now AI can learn to do more than it was programmed for...

no, i fully understand how & what an ai does. but just like i wrote, if the village idiot programmed or is teaching the ai, the ai wont be to smart will it ¿?¿ if an ai is being taught by a fool, it will also learn to be a fool. just as if an ai is being taught on how to kill humans, it will turn into something that wants to destroy the human race.

they have already been cases that ai´s have been taught to lie & give false facts. but the ai is saying what it believes or what it was told to learn & repeat. maybe the movies terminators werent so far fetched. ai´s & technology are a very slippery slope. it all depends on how its used, who is using it & for what means.

I might be wrong. Or at least I hope that I prove to be wrong. But as an educator, I have seen that we are getting more and more young children with social, congnitive and behavioural issues. Though we can't totally blame digitalization and increased screen time. We definitely can't deny that it has an important role to play. With younger brains relying more on Artificial intelligence for easy way out, I am afraid that Human intelligence would not be used much and might start degenerating soon.

even thou i have no kids ( at least that i know of ), i think you are 120 % right. you should also include the public school system in your list of problems for students. did you know that almost all parents of companies that produce cell phones, tablets, etc. dont allow their own kids to use them ¿?¿ its because these same people who push their electronic garbage on the masses know that they are detrimental to their kids, to learning, to their social skills & the list goes on.

call me what you will bet i went back to dumb phone yrs ago. sure smart phones can be useful but i hate how society depends on them too much & have become slaves of technology. dont even get me talking how evil google is.

The artificial intelligence is actually is growing and it's now been used a lot , the development of artificial intelligence is actually one thing I have noticed , the thing is the growth have been resounding and encouraging

Elon musk is just trying to hype artificial intelligence, because he owns one, what I do tell people is that, it is humans that programmes those robots and tell them what to do, so artificial intelligence can't overtake humans or outsmart humans completely.

Well it's not that easy but it can take lot of time though. The self driving cars , for example is expected to be fully operational (Level 5 of Autonomous driving) by the end of next 10-15 years. It takes lot of time and change of government policies for AI to be completely successful.
