After reading this thread , i would say you can try your hand at forex trading if you have ever felt a curiosity to learn forex trading. I started forex trading at the age of 18 since i was always intrigued by the forex markets and how they work. What i would definitely tell you is that these markets are highly volatile and hence risky , so you shouldn't trade forex until you have good knowledge about it . As far as making 1 $ a day is concerned , there would be days when you may earn way more than 1$ and then days when you will not make money at all. So , a good research before starting forex trading is a must.

If you want to earn money for the long term that helps you to make life easier you can go for freelancing, digital marketing,affiliate, e-commerce or other kind of long term earning sources .you will find in google.
But if you want to earn money that helps you to bear your pocket money then you can go for gpt sites, surveys, trading, online buy-sell. There are hundreds of ways to make money online. Just go to google uncle, search wisely you will find lots of tips and tricks.
I am also a student. NOw I earn money by doing the survey on many sites.you can also earn money by the survey. I can earn daily 10$ average.Pretty good.

Are you referring to affiliate marketing? This is really tough and not as easy as you said to earn $40 per day. Do you earn this amounts consistent?

yes in affiliate marketing/affiliate programs because you don't need that huge capital to start with.
more than 40bucks a day, some days zero sales. that's sales.
not consistent.
