I've known about Duolingo for the longest time and know that it's a popular and legit service. I always wanted to give it a shot but have never got around to trying it. But it does get very good reviews.

I'm not surprised at all. I teach English remotely and have over the years made a mental note of many of the best resources and online learning sites, free or otherwise. And I've seen Duolingo mentioned over and over again.

Why not join a community centered around whatever language you are learning, or maybe do Duolingo with your friends and do accountability checks?

That's a good one. Real world friends too busy but I'll look into the community thing. Never occurred to me before. Thanks.

The one thing I think I'd miss is the human interaction. But I guess for that, I'd have to pay for an upgrade. I certainly don't take away anything from the free service because if money's tight and you need to learn a language, it would be pretty neat.

That sounds like a very exciting service as learning a second, third or fourth language gives you an upper hand or advantage in case you get to travel or receive a person who speaks a foreign tongue. Do they even certify you when you seem to have become conversant with the language?

its a great helping website the lessons are easy , helpful and level up trophies and rewards are awesome features to motivate learning process further

I don't think they issue certificates on Duolingo. But recently when I was doing my research on the company, I learnt that if you want to learn with a tutor, you have to upgrade your account. I wonder how many people actually do that.

It is almost 100 per cent of a known fact that most online sites or companies will always offer a premium service at a fee as that is one of the best ways to monetize without placing some annoying ads and keeping the site clean.

Well as regards paying for a subscription it is one thing am working on as o have come to learn that it gives you an advantage in case you are bidding for some work online. It might be possible that you can be certified since they are involving professionals.
