I just received the newsletter from NameCheap

They offer new domains for $0.88/first year. That's crazy!

Available for these extensions:
.xyz
.press
.site
.website
.online
.pw
.space
.tech

They will add more TLDs to the list soon. Offer valid through 11:59pm EST on March 10, 2016 only.

What do you think? Will you pass this offer because these extensions are bad for SEO?

That is the first year, how much does it cost for the second year. If you buy a package like this you are normally obligated to register your site with them for more then one year.

Hi guys, there are more $0.88 domain extensions featured now.
how much does it cost for the second year.

Their second year prices are:

.xyz = 9.88/year
.top = 10.88/year
.online = 32.88/year
.site = 25.88/year
.tech = 45.88/year
.website = 19.88/year
.pw = 7.88/year
.space = 7.88/year
.bid = 25.88/year
.trade = 25.88/year
.webcam = 25.88/year
.press = 63.88/year

I don't like some of these cheap offers. At the end you'll find out that you have spent a lot of your cash unexpectedly. I registered a domain name with one of the registrars at only $.9. I was later shocked to realise that there were hidden fees for pluggins that you couldn't do without.

Wow, that is not too bad I was expecting a lot more expensive. These new extensions are more expensive then the traditional .com's because your site name can be greatly reduced in size. .xyz and .top is dirt cheap.
Thanks for the share.

Namecheap offers for cheap domains, few years back I was using their service, but once Paypal stopped sending payments from India I have to move all of my domains to Godaddy.

IF I were having Paypal, then I could have bought some more domains for reselling. At Godaddy the cost is too high for renewing domains.

I saw that email but hadn't read it to see the details until now, so thank you for this thread. :)

Namecheap is really good. After I switched from Godaddy (never again will I use them for numerous reasons despite them trying to get me back), I found Namecheap to be the best solution for me in the US. They're not like Godaddy or Netfirms who screw people out of being able to use the domain like they used to for one flat price and they don't restrict any features on them, which is really good.

In India, I understand how them not accepting payments from India would be a reason to select another host, though. You have to go wherever you can do the best and be able to process payments and do business no matter which company it is through. I personally would avoid Godaddy and opt for 1and1, hostgator, or some other company (any other company) instead, but I understand that you had to choose one quickly for whomever serviced payments from where you are.

The prices are really good with Namecheap, but the new TLDs don't interest me all that much. If I could get a niche name like robo.tech or adult.webcam then I might register that since people would always want it, but I can't justify paying even half the normal price yearly for one of those. 88 cents a year, yeah I can do that if it stays at that price lol. But that is just introductory. Anything more than $4 a year for a weird TLD like that which won't rank well for SEO, I just wouldn't.

I am also a namecheap customer. I have an xyz website. However, I would not recommend anyone to go for these extensions. Most of these extensions are not recognized by affiliate networks. My xyz domain was rejected by ebay.

It does seem like it's still early days yet but I doubt that affiliate networks can carry on ignoring the extensions seeing as search engines aren't.

I have never bought a domain by NameCheap before but is sounds like this domains extensions are very cheap. The next time I am a website owner I will definitely consider NameCheap as a option. Thanks for the information.

Domain names from namecheap are still still,I have seen one for 48 cents and others for 88 cents from the second year one is expected to pay from $24 and above.I don't think there's anything wrong with paying less for a domain name.
