Do you validate your web pages at all? Do you try to fix validation errors if you can or do you just ignore them as long as your page works?

For your page to rank higher when you do the seo it has to be problem free, not only that but it has to be structured in a certain way. If you don't do this the search engines will penalize you.

I use Google webmaster tools and make sure there are no major errors. Validation really depends on who you have checking it.. I think you can´t go wrong with the recommendations of Google webmaster tools. Outside of that, if you use some other website, you might end up wasting time on what someone fairly unimportant thinks is important.

I always validate my pages just to make sure where I stand. Most of the times I make changes to the pages based on the validation and the suggestions. There are always small mistakes, which are not so obvious even if the website works fine. I use it as a kind of precaution, because I may decide in a later period to add more code, and those errors might cause unwanted results.

Generally there are errors that are ignorable but the webmaster tools once errors are detected, it is advisable to make immediate corrections and validation for future efficiency and site optimization

HTML validation is very important to use in any site. It would easen the work to be done by the server machine, since only the required information is retrieved. It is also useful to the visitor in that they get any error message in their input immediately. I support its use fully.

HTML verification actually don't mean you can ease with the server-side verification, since there might be hacker that edit the HTML using simple inspect element.
