While browsing around this forum and others I've seen plenty of threads regarding which survey sites are the best. I see lots of users poo-pooing surveys in general, though, and it has me wondering whether surveys on the whole are worth the bother. I know I don't use them - they're slow, sometimes unreliable, and give away more personal information than I care to share.

Still, I assume people wouldn't recommend survey sites if they weren't making money. Is anyone on YpayZ actually making any decent money through surveys? What are your strategies?

To be honest, I've never cashed out from any survey site I have joined. I started working online last year and survey sites were the first online jobs I tried. I have signed up for Prolific Academic, YouGov and some more other sites I cannot even remember now, lol. The thing is, I don't qualify much for surveys. With Prolific Academic, I got like two surveys within a couple of months. With YouGov, I don't even get surveys from it now.

I think it has to do with me being in an Asian country. I know some people get a lot of surveys simply because they're from America or UK. So in my mind, surveys are not that bad if you're from those countries.

The same happens to me, in Prolific Academic I never qualify either and when some study shows up they ask for any more question and I end up not qualifying again, which is a shame because I always see a lot of people talking nice about it. But that's probably because I'm not in US or UK either.

I also think that if you're from US your chance of getting more surveys are much higher. Since I'm from South East Asia the amount of surveys that I get is pretty low. So far among the survey sites that I've signed up to, GlobalTestMarket and Usability are pretty consistent in terms of surveys per week. Half of the surveys that I got from GlobalTestMarket screened out before I could finish them, and sometimes it's more than half. You usually get 90 points for each survey but if you screened out early you'll only get 5 points. You'll need 1044 points to cash out $10 dollars via PayPal, so unless you managed to finish all of the surveys offered, then it'll take time before you can cash out. Usability is a bit different compared to other survey sites. It's more of a test site than survey site actually. It's usually for designers of website to get feedback from users about their design. You'll get a credit for every test you finished, and you'll never get screened out since the tests available are very short. One credit equals $0.10, and you'll need $20 to cash out so it's still a slow earning site.

I've noticed that survey sites are only good if you live in the UK or US (sometimes Canada, it depends). As a person who lives in Europe, I don't qualify for most of the surveys they have to offer, which sucks. That's the reason why I haven't cashed out even once from any survey site that I've found. I do use Mintvine via Hola, but even with that I rarely get surveys that I can actually finish. Don't waste your time on those sites if you live outside of those three countries.

I have gotten some money from some survey sites. I have find many of them yesterday, but almost no one of them is not working here in Serbia. If there are some sites that we can work in any country in the world, please share them, I am sure that people in many countries have those problems.

Actually, survey websites are good and some are worth trying but sadly even I face this problem. We can try Swag Bucks and Click sense and other websites like that but sadly We don't qualify for many surveys so we always need to look for other opportunities to earn some money.

I tried to use Swag Bucks and I was able to access that but it does not have much for me to earn money and I was disqualified to participate in any surveys or even videos to browse. Actually, most of the websites are made for US users and that's why we always lag behind in earning from those survey websites.

These days I don't think the decent income may come from the survey site. In fact many people are not choosing it to earn at all. The reason being many survey sites boot the people after 3 questions. Some have country specific questions. Some have age and gender specific questions. So it depends on who is going to ask you those questions and want opinion of yours on that part for the survey.

And sadly our location isn't helping us any to qualify for surveys and do well on any of them. Swag bucks, Click Sense and many others have surveys but not for Indian users.

Most of the survey panels are demographic based, so it is very difficult to get qualified for the surveys. Also it depends on the survey frequency. Answer is yes luckiest people has made many cash outs from legit survey panels

You need to keep searching legit survey panels which offers surveys for India. Toluna and Yougov are the best panels. Try out if you are interested.

Not just location sir. You can see that we have issue with age, gender, kids etc in India too. So the survey if demands us to be female we can't cheat with that lol. Most of such survey check our gender and stuff. So that way they are doing the filtering. And that does work out to some extent. I am sure you know how some people these days are spending money on survey and not much getting in return. So not many good survey sites for us Indians.

I made $210 from Dec 2015-Feb 2016. It's not a huge amount, but I specifically set aside my survey money to buy home décor for my house. It has allowed me to completely makeover my spare bedroom. I wouldn't have had the funds to do this otherwise. To me it is worthwhile, but I understand why it wouldn't be to others.
That is awesome I am saving all my earnings from the sites I am doing right now to help get my laptop fixed or get a new one I am close to $200 right now.

Supposedly my first CashCrate check is in the mail, so unless they're A+ scums I managed to make $23 in just over a month. I only use the surveys.cashrate.com page, and I only attempt surveys paying over $1 (you'll also get emails with special surveys sometimes, those can pay really well).
There are days when I don't match up to any of them, but since it's very minimal time investment (maybe 1 hour a week total) I don't mind.

You're not going to make $10 a day on surveys, but if you want a little extra pocket change they can be fine.
$23 at a survey site is pretty good for a months time.

I have joined many survey sites but have not been successful on most of them. The problem is because of my location. Those who are from the U.S have better luck when it comes to surveys.

Thanks, i will check both of them and actually heard a lot about them in past few days. @overcast I think you're right. Most of the times there questions are not related to us and if we answer something than in the end it says you're not eligible. So surely its not worth for us Indian users.

Do you know yougov wont screen out. If you get survey invitation from yougov. You can happily participate as it will take you to the main survey. No screenout.

Personally I do like taking surveys.

I do not consider, that they are a waste of time.

I am doing surveys on Clixsense, and getting paid.

If it is uncomfortable to you sharing personal infos, then I think surveys are not for you.

I do not have any problem sharing personal infos,I think is very natural, that big companies, who are organizing the surveys, are interested what people think of their product.

I think taking surveys are worth your time.

I would like to complete more surveys,if that would be possible. But I am not from a Tier1 country.

I have seen payment proof on a forum ,that a person is earned $40 a day, taking surveys.

He said,he earned that sum in 1 day.I don't know if it is true if he made it in 1 day or not.

Does not look legit to me. I mean 40$ in a day? And that too survey site. That surely does not look legit. Must be some virtual dollar points and not real USD. I mean no survey site out there that can be paying this high. In fact some of the testing sites don't pay this high either. It depends on the product though. if it is were to be that easy, i would love to see that survey sites too.

I manged to earn some money from the surveys with the help of streetbees and click sense but I left clicksense after payment left it.
