Do you think bicycle selling business is lucrative in the rural area?we just enter a family meeting last night on business to open for my younger brother but he chose to operate a bicycle shop,you need to think twice before such possible action is made recall that this is village and I dont think the business will move here but he insisted.please what is your opinion do you think bicycle business will move in the rural area?

Yes that seems to be true the business may be moving in the rural area but the most important thing is that you must know a particular area where people uses that mechanical item mostly(bicycle)

I agree with you. This kind of business only does well in specific rural areas. So one should do good research and observation first before starting the business. You can't sell bicycles to people living in hilly and rocky areas that does not support bicycle riding.

True but there are some rural areas that do not really use bicycle as a means of transportation since it is a close environment where there isn't a far distance to get anywhere.

That seems to be true but before you start a business you must conduct a questionaire and know if the business you want to operate will move in that area,if it is rural area I will suggest you first meet the people that are living there know the type of product they actively purchase but I still beleive that bicycle selling business will be more profitable in the rural community

Thing is, how many of us truthfully attempt or answer quetionnaires? It better to contact a marketing agency to find out through a market survey if you would like to flow that process.

Its depend on the location that you chose to operate the business sometime people answer questionaire but you must do or offer something that attract their attention, well as you said you can also contact a marketing agent for that its far more easy and its depend on individual choice

I don't know about the transportation situation in your present location but bicycle is a daily means of transportation in both urban and rural places in Sweden, Germany and rural places in Denmark. Having a bicycle shop in these parts could be of course lucrative.

people are still using bicycle but the issue is your location that matters and the nature of business that move in that locatio where they are doing farming work like the rural community I think those farmers may need bicycle to converge their goods from one location to another.

I think that it could potentially be a good idea, however you have to make modifications to your bicycles and sell them. For example have a carriage with a bicycle so that two or more people can travel in the rural are. This will really speak to the locals and help you in getting a successful business.

I think that it would be a demanded project, and it all depends on the technology in the rural area. there are some rural area that make use of cars to move between the city and the area, but need bicycles within the rural area due to lack of space to drive.

True, most rural areas have high demand for bicycles but consider some villages that have been developed depend on other means of transportation and do not really require bicycle.

My other point of view on this subject matter is that you have to target the rural areas for specific bicycles tailored for the village for their easy movements and transportation of portable goods or farm produce and in urban areas those who work in industries tend to use city bicycles. I believe if you are selling such types then you can make some good bucks for yourself.

Just like I stated of course it depends on your location, both rural and some urban places in Sweden, Germany and France still majorly use bicycle en mass as their preferred of transportation. There are alot of bicycle shops running in these places.

Well, since the "green" project is being approved in the European Union, perhaps now people will be more inclined to buy bicycles and electric scooters, rather than polluting cars. This in Europe, however, I don't know where you live.
