Do you think getting a lot of backlinks will help your video rank better on search ? i've seen some youtubers even recommend buying backlink packs from Fiverr for example to help your video rank better,

what do you think about this ? is it good to buy these packs ? or would it be much more optimal to let your video rank without using these backlinks ?

Yes, it does rank faster but must be relevant content not spam backlinks everywhere. Tried and tested this method myself!

Just like back linking does help improve other sites, the same applies to YouTube videos. Once you link to them from relevant contents, fact is your videos will rank better. One thing I know about YouTube is that all videos are almost auto optimised for as long as you matching keywords and all describe them properly.

In my opinion, focus on other factors like making videos with high watchtime, engagement, etc. These have a much higher value in the eyes of YT.
You can work on backlinks later.

yes i see sometimes people commenting on the authority channels in their niches with a relevant comment from their channel with hashtags and certainly people click the channel or links mentioned that's a good signal for you tube to rank you better

Yes,this is one if the great ways to rank better but you still need good contents on your channel. Apart from the backlinks you also need to capture people with your videos

If you get traffic from back links for your you tube then it helps however I know that if post a video in platform as embeded that playing video will not have any effect for seo but if the person play on their own browser then it would be helpful.

Please do not buy backlinks. You can do SEO of your YouTube video and share it on Social Media sites.

i have shared some of my video and article in quora. it only made few traffic. usually quorans (member of quora) only read the answer, they wont click more and more

Using backlink on YouTube is same as using backlink on website. It brings more views to the video. And it also increases the ranking of the video. Using backlink on YouTube video is good

I am not going to advise you to so much focus on getting backlinks. This is because a lot of the metrics that YouTube usually used is on site metrics.
