Do you pay any taxes for your online income ?

If we will need to pay taxes for our online earnings, what will be left? With the deductions of paypal fee or other withdrawal fee, I dont think there will still be left if we will need to pay for taxes.

I think the payment on paypal alone covers some taxes for our earnings, and that should be enough. The
rest of the payment will be charge upon withdrawing on paypal, but there are also options which will
not charge anythingnupon withdrawing balance from paypal.

Yeah i am paying that and actually government of India is now taking GST dedcution from our all online earnings and they are deducted automatically by PayPal from it.

I am not
sure if it is tax, but whenever I convert my dollar to php, they are chrging little payments, that is aside
from the paypal fee upon withdrawing on sites i am working.

Actually Govt of India has made rul that any amount of $75k or more this way is taxable; however Paypal is taking from our earnings to pay this tax; it is actually out of understanding. Small earning is not taxable, and my online earning goes to Social Work, so it is not taxable either.

PayPal don't know if your online earnings are for social work or not and they are deducting some Gst tax every month from our earnings and we can take that back but for that we need to have Gst registration.

GST registration will give extra paperwork problem, so this thing will be take care when our team will decide it's own PAN, then I will change PayPal too that will be added GST as well; GOI will return then all deducted amount.

Even if we wanna avoid taxes for our online earnings in India, we cannot do that as PayPal prepares tax invoice every month and sends it to us and it's copy to government of India.

As an employee, we are being deducted a withholding tax from our salary. But with regards to my online earnings, there is no directive that will require us to pay taxes. But the lawmakers are looking into this matter but are yet to craft specific guidelines. Looking further, I know I am being deducted some fees whenever I request payment from a site, example Bitlanders. When I request a payment of $100, what I get in my PayPal is $95.30 which means I paid a fee of $4.70 or 4.7%. when I transferred the amount to my bank, the bank would charge $2 fee. I may not be paying direct taxes for my online income but I am not exempted from paying the institutions processing the transfer of my money. To think that as far as I know, OFWs are exempted from paying taxes (correct me if I'm wrong)? We, as online workers are also helping the government in our own little way.

Hey folks.

My question for today is whether you pay taxes for the income you make .

Some countries have strict law that taxes have to be paid so I wanted to ask.
what kind of taxes u r talking about. direct or indirect. as per direct taxes such as income tax, there are stipulated amount beyond which one needs to pay taxes here in India including every source. if i earn beyond those boundaries i need to pay income tax for that.
from this year a an indirect tax called GST has been introduced here and whwnever i cash out i need to pay that on the service charge that are applied on that transaction.

Here iln Philippines based on experience and some people i knew we do not pay tax on online job. Well its not permanent income and if your salary net pay not more than 22k you do not need to pay tax here even not online job.

GST is charged on PayPal's earnings, PayPal pays the GST by taking from us. It is not a good decision, but in business, all companies charge tax from users.

It depends in which country you live, this is not applied to all countries in this world. The truth is that I don't have to pay tax for my online income . However, people working online from the US have to pay tax for every single penny they earn.

one has to abide by the rules of the land and no complains what so ever. as there are no option but to get paid through these payment processors

For freelancers here in my country, they
are considered the same as self employed or business owners. Meaning, they are
still responsible for paying tax. However, it is still their decision if they will report their annual income to the government, and be responsible enough to pay tax.

Yes we are taxed for our online earnings and in India we are required to pay Goods and Sales tax and it's deducted from our earnings directly. We can get it's credit but then we need to furnish our GST no.

I have paid taxes from one site for the last 5 years in a row... As I make over 1000.00 a year with it.. I try and get 200.00 per month.. But i average about 180.00 so yes i do pay taxes on it..

Yes , The bank how owns the ATM will cut a fee for every withdraw , and the Credit Card company will do the same thing , Payoneer fees for example are high , the ATM monthly withdrawal ammount is limited , The Government try to save the local currency from this taxes and limits .

In the United States, you need to earn $600 or more per year in order to be required to pay taxes for online income.I have never got a 1099 from the internal revenue service.
