Do you pay any taxes for your online income ?

Yes I do. The amount of earning from both job and the online earning has crossed specific threshold. And it has reached to the taxable level. So I have to pay the taxes each year. Hopefully that streak continues. It feels good to pay taxes because it means I am growing. I don't mind taxes but I don't want to be broke and helpless anymore. I lived that "avoid tax, stay low earning" mode for long. Now I want to make money. Hopefully this good stuff continues.

Good answer. Thank you buddy. In my country not everyone pays taxes but some of them are required to. Its really important otherwise law is gonna hunt you.

Yes i pay, got 1,5 year of that experience on shoulders :)
Try to start from start to pay taxes or to avoid rightly by law, because at low $ income it's great time to learn how it work, not wait till it's done in running mode with huge $ amount that, because of every mistake you make will take extra amount of $ from your earning and can lead to situation where you loose your precios :Greedy

Like there can be different tax % from income type and paying extra 1% from 10$ is acceptable (only 0,1$), but from 100$ it's starting to make some difference (1$), because if your income is from PTC clicking is like 5 ads with 0,02$ price ( to get 0,1$) or 50 ads with same price per ad (to get 1$).

Hey folks.

My question for today is whether you pay taxes for the income you make .

Some countries have strict law that taxes have to be paid so I wanted to ask.
That depends really. If you are working for a company/corporation/institution, taxes are automatically withdrawn from our monthly income. If one is working at his/her own business then one has to pay their taxes manually.

In my country, Every worker is expected to pay tax both in private and public sectors. Yes I was paying tax when I was working offline, I just join online earnings now and I'm yet to be taxed by any site.I think it varies for countries and earning sites.

We usually pay income taxes in April over here. If you don't pay your taxes this is considered as a breach of law and is punishable. Tax is equally applicable on whatever I earn online.

Yes.. it's mandatory ! Our government take tax from us . And it's a great responsibility for us with our tax money government pay low income families do lots of thinga for us we give tax like we give money to others we feel we help them I think it's also a good idea to help government and people . I also give money to NGO I feel happy to help them .

Am finding it funny in some ways and trying to figure out the strategy that is being used to pay the tax since in my country that does not happen. But paying tax is really good because that's part of your role as a citizen, hoping that the tax, isn't that high.

I will say yes cos it very likely that part of the charges deducted by the banks could be a way of paying tax and if it true then I will agree we still pay indirect tax from our earnings in my country.

Not just law. it's better to be on good page wiht the tax. you can do road cutting on the customer and the other side. but law is osmething we should never take things lightly. so i try to make sure that i am on good page with the law. and never going to get into issues with it. and another thing is that there are some of the online business that may have their share of the issues there. so taxation is something I always look forward to deal with.

In my country, it is compulsory to pay tax. It is automatically deducted from your salary every month and so you can't evade it and you also don't have the burden of looking for money to pay the tax.

I think it is hard for the taxman to determine if money from online is gifts from abroad or it is a payment for freelancing work. However, in the USA the taxman is very strict. For those who have full-time jobs and are part-time freelancers can argue that they are already taxed and one should not be double taxed. Online jobs are a grey area in my country.

I never knew that international users can be taxed from online jobs especially freelancing. But if someone is a full time worker on freelance, then he or she won't feel the pinch when paying tax because the money made there is more.

Hello everyone, I have been working online since 2009 and I have not worried much about this. I have not paid my taxes until I have graduated and got a real job locally. So, I would love to ask how to calculate and report my earnings for its taxes. Do I need to report all my earnings since '09 or I should start for this year? I may not still be on the bracket of taxable income but I know that time will come I will reach that point that my online earnings will not be negligible.
These are my sources of income if it helps:
1. Faucets
2. Cryptocurrency trading
3. Online transcription
4. Some microtasks from time to time.
I would love to hear from my fellow Filipinos if they have expertise in this field specially those who had experience. Thanks and have a good day.

I am very sad to tell you that Ipay around 3-5% of my online earning for lots of taxes like paypal tax for recieving money ,transferring money, tax for converting to other currency etc and according to my country i pay lots of physical tax to government also ,thanx .

Thaat is actually good. Because here you have to do your own tax. and then decide what may or may not work. and that is something people don't tell you about the online income as well. that being said, there are always things that makes you wonder if the taxes are exceeded or not. I have learned that online earnings can be harder. and paying taxes in advance. that can be harder to deal with every now and then.
