I have a question as an owner of a blog, want to know writing is beneficial or a YouTube channel?
I have seen people have earned a lot of money on YouTube by their videos within two years of works.

Writing blog for tech and review still seems very difficult.

I think amount of adoption for the videos has increased. And the blogs are reduced in number. You can see that more and more people are making video cntent. and also audio content is on rise too. so thaat's something you'd surely find when it comes to making small videos or the videos type of content. interactive video would be the next thing. like say VR and few other type of the content.

I can tell you that the market for reading and writing is low when compared to that of videos and audios.

If you really want to make money quick, then you should go for videos. You can still do blogging as something you have passion for and with patience, you'd see it come around.

No i totally do not agree !!,you should go for both and attach vlogging and blogging together ;just do both and in your blog place a video inbuilt also so that if anyone want they can see a tutorial and in youtube or in daily motion just mention your blog also to visit who are fond of reading means bith at same to ensure maximum profit ;best of luck ;thankx !!...

Videos are more popular . Why ? Because people tend to use the easier way which is just by watching . Not everyone likes reading and I'm sure video explanations are much more detailed compared to blogs. You should do both if you ask me.

The low reading culture has also hit the net in recent times. I read an article on this and I totally agree. People stopped reading paper book for ebooks and blogs but now it has shifted to audios and video watching .So to make more earning do the two.

Personally, I like reading blogs more than watching videos. But majority of the people prefer videos. I also agree that vlogging is replacing blogging.

I think if content is good and short. Or something that contributes back to the life of people. then surely they can make use of the written content. but most of the time video content is increasing. and more and more people are choosing to watch the video content. that's what I have noticed.

Now it is already a saturation of vloggers on YouTube, because it is free and everyone can make an account. Let's admit, it's more easy to watch a video than reading. Videos are slowly replacing the reading, like books are replaced by e-books. I prefer the both ways.

Watching videos is more enjoyable than reading for majority people. In my perspective as consumer, I better watch video about top 10 best horror movies than read it.

The amount of video consumption by the people has increased. So it'd be something to consider for those who are into the reading blogs opposed to video. It's fun to see things such as that though. I would surely chekc that up ..

Yes they do. When we read some articles on newsportal we just read few sentences. Videos are keeping more active than ordinarily text.

As a copywriter, I am more biased to reading but the general market trend has shifted to watching videos. For a safe bet, I have seen many YouTubers and marketing experts like Neil Patel do this thing:

They will create a YouTube video and a blog to explain the same thing. Neil Patel often embeds his videos in his blogs and leave the blog link in YouTube. So, whether people like to read or watch, they've covered it both ways and getting the traffic from blog as well as their videos.

I guess both goes in handy , but people read more of blogs than videos cos watching is just to have deeper understanding if what you have read and not all written articles do have video support

its my Dream to make video blog or in short V blog but the thing is im a Shy person! so i preferred writing in blog!and people would not see me Only my writings! and i think Only people who have a Thick face or Not a Shy type person can Do Video blogging!

I think everybody can make a video,and exercise a little bit before.It depends on the presentation,the quality of the video,how entertaining is,the person if is smiling is more attractive and may bring many visitors to the video.

I have similar problem. I don't like expose my self. I rather express my self on paper. It's easier for me and I'm more confident in that way.

@Medowriter I think for quick solution blogs are nice if the steps are well written. You can scroll down as you wish again and again.
@asumi Same with me that's why I have been avoiding creating the video.

I think that you can do both actually. There are some people who still enjoy reading. The trend nowadays is about videos. I know many successful Youtuber. Maybe you can try your luck. However, you must make really good videos and also promote your channel.
