Hello , so
i don't know if that's true or not , but i always had the idea that videos ( on youtube of course ) with long titles don't attract people , when the videos with short titles do , for example :
we have two videos with the same content but with different titles :
1st vid's title : how to increase your FPS in CS GO and remove lag | working 100%
2nd vid's title : CS GO FPS INCREASE
for me , i'm sure that the 2nd video will get more views since the title is short and explains what's inside the vid in very few words , when the second one will take more milliseconds too read , in this case , the youtube user will go for the vid with a shorter title since he's in a hurry .
what do you think about that ? am i wrong or am i right ? let us know more about that in the comments as well .
have a nice day :D !

I don't like excessive use of abbreviations, especially title with abbreviations only, so my choice would be longer title for sure. But I'm a bit conservative in case of written text ;)

I think longer can also have success like shorter. It can give you more detail explanation what is happend in video. But remove that part working 100%. It is often related to scam videos.

i believe short titles along with an explanatory thumbnail would be a perfect combo for the video , i've seen that in many videos and it looks perfect

I think there is no general assertion to this as it is a function of the individual rather than public . some users hates long title article whereas some prefer for the title to be self explanatery . so that is just the fact

Actually there is no fix rules about increasing visitors by making attractive thumbnails or titles because if you tube does not rank or show your videos then no one going to click.
but 'in case' you got your video recommended in youtube , people must be so curious about its content and click without feeling xd

My personal view though I prefer longer title than short ones. To me longer ones are more explicit and convincing than short titles that might not cover the subject matter.

I agree with you too but most of times the length of the character required to introduce the title is usually not up 20 characters and thus you are not opportune to write a long title .

Well I've got something to say here. In youtube while I see search results (videos) 4 things I prefer most to open next video. How many views already got, channel name and thumbnail and most importantly video title. Thumbnail attracts people a lot. Long title does not matter as far as main things are told in first 6 words and they are not disturbing to read (not all letters capital).

I just wanted to add a question on the Youtube topic.
Meanwhile, I tell to ALL of you in this thread that until now I haven't used Youtube for business yet.

Said that, I noted two important things there:

1) It seems to me (maybe I could be wrong) that Youtube don't uses any tags, like most of the other sites
2) There is also the DISLIKE function. (Sorry me, but I don't like this feature!)

Everyone should avoid to provide long titles. If you have to give everything on title then what a video is for ? Maximum 10 words are good to look as a title. Keywords should apppear as the very first words if you aim to do this video for promotional or earning purpose i.e you are expecting money or benefit from it.

actually i didn't mean giving everything in the title, there are some long titles that's just explaining the concept of the video, the rest can be found there, and the thumbnails are made to attract users more than the title do because it looks more interesting

Yes you are absolutely right. Sometimes thumbnails show fake info too just to get some views which I hate most. Hope you will do very good in your YouTube business brother.

Long title does not affect earnings or user interaction that much. But shorter title definitely looks good with thumbnail. Keywords should be there in title to get SEO favour.

One problem with people is that they're too lazy to read, that's why they tend to watch a video with shorter title, Just my guess.
Yes, on this, I agree with you. People are often too lazy!
Do you know that often, about anything, many people neither read the instructions?

I'd suggest putting a short tittle that explains everything, along with an interesting thumbnail that attracts viewers, also never use 100% and such texts, it makes you look like a scam noting else.
