Digital banking platform Revolut will launch a simplified version of its app in Chile, Sri Lanka, Ecuador, Azerbaijan and Oman.

With the application, customers can send money to more than fifty countries and in more than thirty currencies.
The London-based company said there are no fees for customers making transfers to other Revolut customers, while transfers to accounts held by non-Revolut customers in the five new countries will incur a one percent fee, with a minimum amount of one US dollars will be charged.

Revolut, which has expanded its product range to include payment services, crypto trading, savings accounts and stock trading since its UK launch in 2015, aims to build a global financial super-app. The platform, which has more than eighteen million customers and 500,000 businesses using its products, said it aims to be present in as many as ninety countries by the end of 2022.

Whoa! This a good products that can promote good services in between countries. I'm just getting to know about this platform for the first time and it's a good one in which I can recommend to people and business owners. I hope it is later extended to my country so as promote our economy.

This is a good boost for the app and the company itself. Being available in fine countries shows great movement and will give room for other countries to consider joining them. They just need to maintain good service so that the good reviews from the countries that are already using them will attract new countries

That is so awesome. The world is indeed becoming a perfect global village indeed due to such technological advances. Having an ability to send money to anyone in any country just by using an app is so awesome. I hope that the company will expand more and become a global thing that can be used anywhere in this world. It will make currency transactions to be so easy.

That's great and since mine country is improving as well in this regard and few companies that have startups based in Dubai are offering facilities now , people have started to invest in stock markets now and can actually have more trading options and benefits as compared to the indirect brokers that can charge a lot of cut and then pass it on the customers which is non fair attitude indeed .

Great news as payment processors and platforms are some of the key things as a start up business person to consider.I have not paid much interest on this app and platforms bit I hope to understand it more.Hopefuly it will penetrate the African market.Since the introduction of cryptocurrency, skrill and netelllerwe seem to have stoped complaining much as Africa because we used to be heavily disadvantaged by not having PayPal services.

This is business strategy, all the means of transactions pull in one place, including cryptocurrency, if the bank aim to expand to many countries is archived, it will be a huge business for them. They are going to have a massive customer base that will register because of there low charging fee. I hope they include Africa as part of there expansion drive, because I will be aiming to register.

This is a good initiative by Revolut to gain customers, especially the low fees charged for each transfer. I do feel though that it still has to do more to compete with it's current competition.
If they can successfully target and carry out safe transactions for countries not supported on PayPal and others, they can stand out soon.

This is impressive, It is a great improvement for the company if they do so by making their app usable for transactions within intercountry. Though this is the first time I would hear or read about the company but I believe that if they keep doing great, their app will extend to be use in more countries.

The company has chosen some big countries in expanding its base. I want to believe that the expansion and introduction of this app in these countries is as a result of incessant yearning of the people living in all these countries. That's why a business owner needs to carryout some surveys to know where his products are more needed.

Revolut needs a wider market in African countries and this would be way profitable for the brand. Having gone through their services, I think it would be a great competitor for other payment processors there.
A few other processors apart from the popular ones have sprung up but some have had either issues of high fees, card acceptance, geographical restrictions and so on. If Revolut could solve all those problems and more, then, it is likely to gain more grounds than it already has.

This restrictions really limit transactions for majority of African people. As a Nigerian, I've given up a lot of earning opportunities that pay through PayPal because I can only make payments with it but not receive payments in return.

Sometimes, the problems arise for the people though, but hopefully there would be a way to make things easier for all involved.

Revolut have great prospects but they still have a lot of work to do. My prayer is that they don't follow the path of skrill and other online processors.

I tried to search for countries that are supported by the Revolut, but it seems like their page is not working at all. They seem like a professional payment processor, but they are not that much popular. PayPal is certainly much more widely-used. Revolut is not available in majority of the countries. @Potuse @Omotunde

I can relate. It has even become a hunting game for online earners to seek out payment processors that are friendly to our location but the horror of it is that it never lasts and the hunt begins all over.

We all know why that happens though, the abuse is real and those platforms know too well than to keep up their services to us.

I'm excited about Revolut launching in five more countries, as I think it's a great example of how technology can make banking easier. I personally think customers will really enjoy using this simplified version of the application in these new countries.

I hope that it will be easy for customers to transfer money to each other across the five new countries. And, I am also hoping that it will be possible to easily send money to more than fifty countries and in more than thirty currencies.

Finally, a very good differentiated service for customers, interesting apart from not charging the fee for transfers to accounts in other countries, for me this service had to be available in all banks in all countries. This greatly facilitates global marketing and the creation and expansion of digital businesses internationally.
