There may be reason why Elon is supporting Dogecoin for sure. He always goes for coins that are easy to mine, easy to buy and literally low transactional has fee. Hence Dogecoin apply fall into this. When he chose Bitcoin then, he discovered that mining of Bitcoin is really harmful to the ecosystem.

From a reputable source, Elon has been a firm supporter of the coin for long but in 2021, Elon Musk publicly endorsed Dogecoin, saying that he was collaborating with the coin's developers to increase transaction speed. The founder of SpaceX conducted a social media survey to determine whether Tesla should accept Dogecoin as payment.
