In Russia, where many positive and negative developments have been experienced in the field of cryptocurrencies in recent years, the Ministry of Labor has banned people working in state institutions in federal and local governments from holding crypto money. These people were asked to dispose of their assets. Government officials must dispose of all digital assets before April 1, 2021.
What do you think about such prohibitions?

Russia never backs down in implementing the decisions it had previously taken on this matter. It seems like they will probably continue to make similar kinds of decisions.

Although the reason why they want to implement the ban is not stated, I don't know if having crypto asset will affect there economy or not, but whatever reason it is, it will not go down well with their economy.

But why would the russia government do so or is it to actually prevent money laundering or so , because that is actually what can amount to this ,there should be a reason

I wonder why Russian government is adamant about this issue since I doubt holding Cryptos was in anyway affecting their jobs. Are they in a dictatorship kind of government or what?
I think the Russian government is very determined on such issues. The ban apparently only concerns government officials, but I guess it would be better if it wasn't.

If I were them (russian civil servants), I would be really angry on their government. Cryptocurrencies are future, and they are just banning them for some people, maybe they will ban cryptocurrencies for every citizen in the next few months/years.
I think the citizens might protest against that , and maybe the civil servants are working under the government so they don't even any say , so the government is the one in control

I guess people who try to support their families in exchange for a certain wage cannot be very opposed to this situation. Maybe just my opinion.

Yeah they would have to continue due to the wage , but my only concern is those crypto traders who are at least using small profit to support their salary , so that their family can be okay

Just thinking aloud what would have instigated this issue since I don't think this holding would have pose any threat to the government or it's local currency. Well, maybe the government knows better

Maybe they are thinking that it could be used for criminal purpose ,,so the government decided to put a deadline date ,but the government should note that it cant prevent people from still carrying out their normal things

This thought isn't effective at all because even without Bitcoin handling. There are other huge avenues for criminal activities so it looks somehow banning people from Bitcoin

As you said, government officials may think so. But I guess people will try to find other things and other ways to circumvent these laws.

I guess they all have families so they would tell them to trade for them , since the families are not banned from using crypto currency i think

I don't think they should even sell it they do not want to at that moment, maybe transferring to them for keeps to sell for a better gain in the long run will be better

Yeah but they could even give their family to sell it for them , it would be very impossible for the government to know about that i think

I just wonder what goes through the minds of those in authority in the different countries. I don't like this prohibition unless they are using the coins for criminal activities
