Crypto.com, a digital asset trading platform, has announced that it has received an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) licence from the Malta Financial Services Authority, making it the first global cryptocurrency exchange to do so (MFSA). Crypto.com's EMI licence, according to the release, will allow the company to issue cards and bank transfers to customers in the region.

Is Binance not also headquartered in Malta? Or don't they have a license to issue cards? What's the difference between crypto.com and Binance?

They had bad reviews about their pending withdrawals has that changed or has gone unnoticed , can't be trusted with fake offers when they started and scammed people tbh actually

A great news for crypto.com and even much goodnews for cryptocurrency lovers in the country as they can deal directly with bank .

this is a great step in the movement of digital currency exchange platform building , probably this would build the demand of cryptocurrency to a greater length or ratio as more people continue to place interest in crypto currency ,it's actually good seeing such development

The exchange platform that we are talking about has failed miserably since their own token went from a highs of $5.00 to mere $0.3 , I won't trust such a platform even with their big partnerships and one must not as well , no doubt the partnerships , but when a company is bankrupt. It can stop paying investors money ; so beware and study the exchange project before investing on it first .

This news is one year old, Malta has become crypto friendly since then. Malta is also a tax friendly region.Malta is a small European archipelago Country, a former part of British Empire, and crypto lovers are safe there from EU's rising objections against cryptocurrency.

This is a significant step forward in the development of digital currency exchange platforms, and it is likely that this will increase the demand for cryptocurrencies to a bigger extent or ratio as more people become interested in it. It is encouraging to see such progress.

since it's a tax friendly country ,then miners and cryptocurrency traders would really love to relocate to the country to carry out their trading and mining actuvities , Malta government should continue their support on seeing the progress of Bitcoin increasing further

Malta does has very friendly Crypto laws but the cost of setting up a business and cost f living is high , to get the nationality you require at-least $2m worth of funds and you can set any company with ease along a tropical island and four seasons to have the pleasures as well of the tropical beauty

As @Qwertu100 said, that isn't easy, there are many tax heavens, but only Ritchie rich lives there.

Moreover miners need power to generate mining, so they are only intrested in countries like Paraguay, which has cheap electricity rate or some places where they can easily set up easy renewables energy for mining process.

I don't trust this centralized exchange. On their official subreddit you can see many people complaining about hidden fees, bad customer supports, misleading statement, hiding facts from users, and more. I won't be surprised if one day this exchange will turn scam.

All centralized exchanges are like that, customer support is always 0 there, but then they are able to reach out to banks, govt and other institutes; while decentralized exchanges are P2P based. Crypto dot com was able to do that, it is working in Malta for one year.

Nah, many of the centralized exchanges I use has excellent customer support, and they also explain in details about trading fee, swapping fees, and withdrawal fee along with the minimum amount to withdraw for each and every coin/token they support. Meanwhile, Crypto.com continuously lie and hide fee details.

In your previous post, you clearly blamed crypto dot com due to it's being centralized, so that's the point which appears.

But now you should inform about those centralized exchanges which has excellent customer support. In the matter of hidden fees, I will avoid crypto dot com.

That's a great step forward, I suggest that other countries should follow up on this new step of malta´s decision on making crypto.com the licensed digital currency exchange, its really a good company that can help in solving som many of these digital issues

Dear, that's an old news, check the date of thread created, now many platforms are already in business in multiple countries, Binance is undoubtedly top.
Crypto dot com is less popular due to fees issues and lacking some features what others like Binance offers.
