As reported by Coindesk, a user and owner of the ledger hardware wallet alerted other people regarding the phishing email that he received the other day. The scammer send to him a professional-looking email that warns about the potential malware that was found in Ledger servers. Fortunately, the user was smart enough to notice that the address the scammer included in the email was not from Ledger official site. The hardware wallet company themselves confirmed that the phishing taken place after previous hacks successfully leaked customer email data to the dark web.

Oh really, the users of this hard wallet needs to be careful in dealing with emails they received, since their email was leaked. Scammers are really on the prowl everyone should be at alert

Nothing is ever difficult for scammers unless it isn't what will net them some good money or steal people data to sell. They always want to hack to make money

Am happy he was smart enough to notice that, so he won't make loss and get scammed ,and its quite noticeable that the scam rate have increased to a higher rate

Yeah, crypto scammers are quite active. Actually, an effective way to protect your data is to use a piece of paper. Technically, it'll become a cold wallet as soon as you write your mnemonic and/or private key on it. There are a lot of crazy things about crypto wallets we definitely need to know about.
yes i am agree with you...we need to secure our wallet properly.

It seems to me that scammers have special likeness to cryptocurrency. Or maybe the programming of crypto networks is easy to hack. I can't remember how many times, hackers have threatened the existence of cryptocurrency.

You know what.. we all should be careful because no matter where we store our money and crypto currency the scammers can get them if we're not careful enough. Im not even talking about hacking but you yourself clicking and going to some websites and addresses should be careful

Phishing attacks are very common and even users of payment systems like PayPal are also victims of such kind of scams. The scammers send emails that look like a real mail from the officials of PayPal. As a result of that, many people would start believing that their account might have been compromised or someone might have had used their account. Scammers steal data when the user tries to login to PayPal through the link in the Phishing email.

Scammers are everywhere and are inventing new methods beyond these security methods implemented every day means nothing is strange in the following story as well. Then be aware from them and do your best to secure yourself and your funds.

Hmm,this space is getting worst. Even ledger users are not 100% protected, how about we the software wallets users still hovering around. Right now the best solution/antivirus to all these attacks is just to stay away from clicking random links.

i think every app is spyware...is it?

Scammers are so good these days. They have really top notch hacking skills and they have learnt everything about companies such that they can send really professional emails. It takes a very keen eye to notice some tiny bits that they don't cover. Users should be careful after such attempts.
