Data released by blockchain forensics company Chainalysis on April 10 shows that throughout the previous month, the total amount of transactions obtained by accounts of suspected scams dropped by at least 30 per cent.
Amid efforts by scammers to exploit COVID-19 paranoia by duping targets into installing fraudulent software, subscribing to charity impersonations, or claiming to produce coronavirus remedies, the COVID-19 global epidemic seems to have led to a significant drop in income from crypto scammers.
