I started blogging few years back. But after a couple months, I was frustrated because I hardly was able to attract any traffic to the site. Really, it is really hard for the first timer to become established in blogging, later I quit.

But I never thought of creating any forums. Forums are good in the sense, people from all over the world can join and contribute to your site, unlike blogs where you are the whole and sole writer. That is why I think creating your own forum is a better option than creating your blog. What do you guys say?

Bloggers do go through a lot of hardship most especially when they are trying to get traffic to their site , if you are not a professional in attracting traffics , i think it will take you a lot of time to gain traffic but forum sites on the other hand are easy to attract traffics if you keep referring people to join your forum.

Creating a forum is not an easy task,you will need to define a niche and attach incentives to your program to draw attention.
You also need to have a good promotional team,there is no forum without promotion.
You also need a good source of capital because running a forum is not easy especially when it involves monetization.

Forums looks very attractive when you look at them and specific the beermoneyforum community. Yes,You are starting from the zero as the blog,bit now most people perfer to stay in social medias than writing in forums. Yes, BeerMoneyForum is a great place. However, we need to maintain activity in here by remaining activity daily. i have seen that many members in here are not participating in the discussion. I believe that if we do not work for the betterment of this forum and make this forum a great platform to work on, then it would be our own loss. We should be more active in here and regularly post replies in discussions.

I also noticed some members inactivity on the forum which i believe will somehow have some negative impact in generating traffic for beermoney forum , though I don't really know what's going on , i am imploring members to keep supporting the forum.

The BeerMoney Forum has a good amount of traffic. this is because Beermoney Forum is the only forum on the internet that has a thread about almost all the money making websites on the internet. this means that when people search for a site, they always get BeerMoney forum's threads on the first page of the search engine. So traffic might not be a problem, but I personally think that we members should be more active in here.

You are very right creating a forum is not an easy task I can remember when I started creating my own free forum with 'boardhost' its a free directory its took me about 6mothns to clearly design that forum before I host it thou I run a ptp program sometime at the initial stage but didnt get much advertisers so I discontinue the program but the forum is still there for me today someone price it last week and am not ready to sell the forum,its just a matter of time you get what you want forum need money and patience to run it successfully,great to beermoneyforum its one of the best community we have so far

Yes, I am seeking the permission to start a new thread on Beermoney forum. I am one of the most active members in here who post comments and earn money here daily, but I have never posted any threads in here till now. I think the thread should be really unique. There are many people in here who have not created threads on the forum for a long time. Have you ever posted any thread in here?

You are going to need a lot of money initially to pay incentives to people to continue participating in the form before you get sponsors. It is also a very difficult task for you to constantly be monitoring the phone room and cleaning trash and plagiarism post which do not add anything to the forum.

There is nothing wrong in creating your own forum but then it is not as easy as a lot of people usually think it is. You are not going to be getting any sponsorship on the first instance and as such you need to have money with a budget of up to like $3000 where you are going to be sending payments to your active users before you can be able to get any kind of sponsorship.

Creating a forum does not necessary means you will make it a paid to forum. Most forums are free forum only very few are paid forum.
Forums like nairaland, bitcointalk are forum that are not paying members. So you don't needuch capital to start a forum.

There are many forum that are not paying it members , but the members are getting updated with different business ideas everytime and it also works to the advantage of the owner because he will be getting paid as long as members are frequenting the site.

There are lots of forum websites like that that don't pay members instead members pays to create new post on the forum.
Forum like this types has already gained lots of members. Nairaland in Nigeria is one of the popular forum where members post to promote there businesses and websites and it has been serving that purposes for long. Forum like that don't really need to pay members to make it popular.

Its true but personally I have a forum but the issue is that this forum is not fetching me money yet thou I have alot of members and I run a ptp forum back then about 7years ago which I latar discontinue because of lack of advertisers, so I personlly think in future I will start using that forum and most likely turn it to ptp forum

Both are rich, I prefer starting a forum if you ask me, but in forums works are required, I don't have such strength to develop one now, it will take up my time really well, unless I hire developers to help me achieve such that. It will cost tons of money to set it up for me, I don't have much of the finance to do just that. I can consider it in the future, but for now, I'll go with blog option.

Yeah, it is so much work having to monitor a forum. Most members who join usually practice spamming and plagiarism which is so toxic for your forum. That is why site owners usually hire moderators. But in the beginning, your finances can be a great trouble you will face before you are stable.

Yes it is not easy to set up a blog but I think what is trending now is a forum.Any thing that you are determined to you will achieve eventually.
