cpumin.com is a mining website that claims to be cloud mining, but needs your computer to run.

You get a lot of profit from running the web miner (about 12-30 satoshi every few seconds).

However, the minimum withdrawl is somewhat high - about 500,000 - 600,000 satoshi.

Looking at the site, it doesn't seem trustworthy, but I will see if it pays out.

This is the mining script:

JavaScript:
function _addTerminal(){
        if(stop==false){
            var hashList   = Array("0c1c","0b20","1d44","061c","1ed8","00e0","1c98","0c61","0e08","1e9c");
            var hash       = hashList[Math.floor(Math.random()*hashList.length)];

                var luck       = randomNumber(0,4);
                var speed      = '0.' + randomNumber(000001, 999999);
                var amountLast = randomNumber(10, 30);
                var amount     = '0.000000' + amountLast;

            $("#terminalType").append('<p>[' + time() + '][0x0000' + hash + '] ' + (luck==0 ?  '<span class="win">BTC: ' + amount +' Win!</span>' : '<span class="speed">SPEED: ' + speed +' H/s</span>' ) +  '</p>');
            if(scroll){
                $(".terminal-container").scrollTop($(".terminal-container")[0].scrollHeight);
            }

            setTimeout(function() {
                if(luck == 0){
                     $.ajax({
                        type: "POST",
                        url: ajaxUrl + "ajax.terminal.php?csrf=" + csrf,
                        dataType: "json",
                        data: { 'amount' : amount},
                        success: function(r) {
                            if (r.error) {
                                stop = r.error.msg;
                            } else if (r.message) {
                                $("#__AjaxMoneyBalance").text(r.message.balance);
                                $("#__AjaxMoneyPercent").text(r.message.percent + "%");
                                $("#__AjaxMoneyLimitProgress").width(r.message.percent + "%");
                            }
                        }
                     });
                }
                _addTerminal();
            }, 1200);

If you don't know Javascript, what the mining function does is:
  • Make a number called luck that is between 0 and 4.
  • If the number is 1 or higher, you earn nothing.
  • If the number is 0, you earn 10-30 satoshi.
As you can see, no mining is involved.

Modding the function allows you to earn any amount of BTC you like.

For example, I added as much BTC to my account as I could and then reversed it by modding the function.

(I now have over 100 BTC, although the AJAX file says over 100,000,000 BTC (the website won't show more then 3 digits on my balance).)

Overall: the website probably won't pay out, but I have to wait to see).

Also, the minimum payout is actually 0.015 BTC.

Is it legit?
Someone just said it was a scam. Please read every post before you ask a question. I do have a question though, what makes the site look like a scam?

But one thing is suspicion for me. This big amount you need to reach for withdrawal. Why this big amount? Every scam site that i know, it needs to invest alot of time reaching the amount for withdrawal, and then after 10 years the withdrawal wont come to you..

(Sorry for bad english)

Well, I'm trying it out. It does not mine your cpu as far as I know. I use NoCoin so I know when a website uses a cpu miner. Why not try? I earned 7k satoshis already.

cpuwin.com and cpumine.com both are scam , they will not pay your . They will wait you until 1 month and the it will show payment paid, but you will not receive any thing in your wallet. waste of time i have tried. stay away from it!

Is it legit?
I haven't received my payment, so it is a SCAM @Mr. B
Also, I am almost certain a legit website couldn't be hacked from a browser console. On https://www.cpumin.com/console, you can easily get 100 BTC with 15 seconds by putting the following code in your browser's console (CTRL+SHIFT+I):
JavaScript:
$.ajax({
    type: "POST",
    url: ajaxUrl + "ajax.terminal.php?csrf=" + csrf,
    dataType: "json",
    data: { 'amount' : 100},
    success: function(r) {
        if (r.error) {
            stop = r.error.msg;
        } else if (r.message) {
            $("#__AjaxMoneyBalance").text(r.message.balance);
            $("#__AjaxMoneyPercent").text(r.message.percent + "%");
            $("#__AjaxMoneyLimitProgress").width(r.message.percent + "%");
        }
    }
});

They just show withdrawal waiting !!!!!!! Does not pay up. Scam star. Tried to mail them in their support mail id it bounced back with remark id does not exit.

What do you mean scam exactly because they are not stealing your money
What do you mean? Scam does not mean stealing money but providing fake new and claiming something that is fake. If it isn't scam, what would you call it?
