A compromise was reached in the Bitfinex and Tether case, a closely monitored case with significant ramifications for the cryptocurrency industry. The NYAG office officially ended the investigation that started in April 2019, announcing the deal on Tuesday. Under the terms of the deal, Bitfinex and Tether will admit that there is nothing wrong, but will pay $ 18.5 million and provide quarterly reports explaining Tether's reserves for two years.
