Coinomi Reviews.jpg

Coinomi is a digital cryptocurrency wallet which is used for securely storing, managing and transacting multiple cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum etc all at once. Coinomi started it live back in 2014 and currently support over 500 digital currencies.

Currently, coinomi is available for Android and iOS with desktop versions coming soon.

Pros:
1. Security First: When it comes to security, coinomi is one of the most secure wallet available for mobile. All user credentials are securely stored on user's device and users can easily lock their wallet using either password or pattern lock.
2. Support All Major Cryptocurrency: Coinomi Support a very large collection of cryptocurrency and ERC20 tokens with more been added on timely bases. Users can also add unsupported ERC20 token manually to the wallet.
3. Built In Exchange Support: Coinomi currently support shapeshift and changelly exchange built in, which enable users to easily exchange their coins/token directly in the app.
4. Multiple Exchange Rate Support: You can basically setup the wallet to display prices in your local currency, with over 150 currencies currently supported.
5. Clean Interface: The app is very clean and responsive. Comes with light and dark theme to suit your need.
6. Ability To Set Default Transaction Fee: This is something that is missing from other wallet i have used.
7. Active Support: The Coinomi team are very active on their social media platforms and are willing to help users with issues.

Cons:
1. Not A Newbie Wallet: While a beginner can easily use this wallet without issues, some newbies have problem cause unlike some other wallets, tokens and coins are two clearly separated entities in the wallet and a newbie who doesn't know the difference might end up being confused. Personally, i had a hard time explaining to a newbie on how to add Avinoc token.
2. Not Easy To Migrate: A novice might really find it difficult to migrate his/her wallet to another app cause wallet private key have to be manually generated by a users. This might be due to security reasons but in my own opinion, this can be simplified.
3. Does not support running multiple wallet simultaneously.

Without any doubt, coinomi is a one of the most secure wallet but if as a newbie you find it difficult to use, i suggest trying other wallet like IMToken, Trust etc which are quite easy to use.
What I really also love about coinomi is their Airdrops and giveaways. They usually partner with new supported coin/token and giveaway a certain amount of the coin/token to lucky winners. To participate in their giveaways just follow them on thier social platform to get notified.

What's your experience with this crypto wallet? share it

There are many people who will buy Cryptocurrencies for the PayPal or other E-processor fiat currency. Marketplace's Buy/Sell/Trade section is the best to post such offers, this is a P2P method. But better to make deal only with trusted members.
That's the best option, there are reputable members here and in case of doubt Mr B is already ready to escrow. Using e currencies to buy cryptocurrencies on wallet usually come with high fee.

This is new to my ears. I'm only familiar with 2 or 3 which are luno, Coinbase and trust wallet and also binance and they are very cool to use. Anyone testes this here??

So I have around $4 worth of ETH on my coinomi wallet that I can't transfer to another one that I prefer to use, and I don't have any other way to add more to it lol! Found that it only uses Changelly for conversion and I couldn't reach the minimum ETH to be able to convert it to another coin. Is there still any way I could get my money? 😅

Though I have not heard about this coinomi wallet before but according to your explanation that its very easy to operate then I will give it a try.

There should be an option to reduce the gas fees of ethereum in coinomi probably, just like trust wallet is having. But lower the transaction fees, more will be the delay in sending out your coins from the wallet. Even after reducing the fees , I doubt the fees will still remain over $1. Ethereum fees is unfortunately very high.

I never heard of it. Perhaps I can use it for other cryptocurrencies other than bitcoin.
Since you have never heard of it before. You can start using it today. I can say that it is the best offline mobile wallet because of the ability to encrypt our wallet.
With coinomi, a pass phrase is enough to create many coins and tokens. Coinomi have been around for a very long time now and have been serving users well.

Coinomi has been a great hot wallet for a few years now, however they have recently had issues with ZCash and their wallet is not functional for over a week. Only response is that the team is working on it, but over a week wait is not a good look. I understand the funds are safe, visible on a block explorer, and I could export my private keys into another wallet, but I shouldn't have to. Not certain why it is taking so long, as its not like the entire Zcash network suffered an issue, all other wallets are functional and exchanges are allowing deposits and withdrawals, so what can be going on with Coinomi's Zcash infrastructure for this long of a time is pretty concerning.

The great feature of coinomi wallet is the provision to create multiple crypto wallet addresses for all the coins which is not present in lost of the other crypto wallets except coinbase or other popular ones. I have used coinomi right back in 2019 to receive NRG coin from an airdrop worth around $200 sum. The wallet supports multiple cryptocurrencies, even erc20 tokens and other blockchain tokens.

How does Coinomi create multiple crypto wallet addresses for all coins, i don't know that because coinomi does not make provisions for many erc 20 or trc20 tokens, there are many altcoins not included in coinomi wallet. I think they need to improve in adding more cryptocurrency. I love it though. It was my first crypto wallet, but i need it to continue being my first because i use it a lot for transactions, but when the crypto i want to use is not included it,
it makes me sad. That where other wallets come in.

Yes , it's true coinomi doesn't support new cryptocurrency or erc20/trc20 tokens , but still it has the provision for creating multiple wallet addresses for the same existing coin , you can create as many addresses you want. It uses the same ideology as coinbase wallet does , even in coinbase the crypto wallet addresses keep changing everytime, but you can use the old generated addresses for any future transactions as well.

🤔 hmm! I didn't know that, maybe i knew but i wasn't so sure it was going to work i was afraid if it's going to disappoint me by making anything i send through disappear. Seriously, thanks for making me know about this. I guess I'll look it up on how to create wallet addresses for existing coins. Does it mean even erc20 and trc20 or brb20 token addresses can be created too?? Wow even in coinbase too. Thanks for this piece of info, i guess i was laid back. 😊

Really wish Coinomi would provide more substantive information regarding their wallet infrastructure, specifically for Zcash where funds have been inaccessible for nearly a month... The good news is that the funds are safe as verified on a block explorer, but all Coinomi is saying is "work is in progress" for a month. No ideal.

When it comes to reviews, the wallet has an excellent rating and many people keep praising it for it's features of ease to use.I would love to try them on how they operate but for now I have not not used their services.I like it that with some selected wallets you ate able to use without doing much of kyc so hoping it is the same case with them. Then now it is more secure to buy nfts from the wallets,so does it provide this service as well. Also the support of ERC-20 tokens how has it been.Would love current updates on those concerns.

Coinomi hasn't made any updates since April, there is no news about any new activity on its platform. Coinomi's a wallet, not an exchange, so there's no problem with not much activity, but being completely silent it doesn't seem to have a team. Are you using this wallet?

As a user of Coinomi since 2016, I personally think there are problems potentially with the company. Yes no activity for a wallet isn't necessarily a big deal, but users unable to access coins like ZCash for 2+ months is problematic. On top of it, they aren't removing posts on Reddit, and haven't provided any usable information. The good news is user funds should be safe, even the ZCash can be accessed if you export private keys and load them in a full node Zcash wallet, but that's a pretty inconvenient resolution for non technical users. I personally think there are a lot of red flags, which is a shame since Coinomi has been awesome and reliable for years, but outlook is cloudy now.

@Nobuenolti
Thanks for pointing all this out, I was collecting ZCash separately, especially from faucetpay where ZCash withdrawal charges the lowest fee (500 Ztoshi only). I'll send that ZCash to Binance of FTX, let's keep coinomi for the time being, I'll find out what's going on in the future.
