I think that all of you heard about Commission Junction but maybe you don't know how you can make money with them so I started this thread in order to help each other and to share our stories regarding this site either positive or negative.

You have to do 4 simple steps in order to start making money with CJ
1. Choose an interest (it can be anything you want)
2. Build a website (this is easy)
3. Get visitors from google, bing, facebook etc (this is a little harder)
4. Earn revenue (sell stuff that people want and make commissions)

First of all, to use their services you have to sign up to their site and they have to approve your account.
Then you have to have a site where you can show their products in order to make sells and to get their commission. But you have to use the niche on which is focused your site (you can't talk about cats or dogs and make advertising for fruits because you'll make no sells)

Example: you have a site where you make reviews on computers, laptops, tablets, and phones. Your users are there because they are interested on this type of products and if they want to buy this and you use CJ to monetize your website, they will be redirected to your CJ affiliate link and if they will buy you will get a commission (this example is for you to understand what you have to do)


Why you have to use CJ to monetize your blog?
Because there you can find a lot of ways and niches which should fit you. If you are using one niche which is not converting so well you can try another one and another one until you'll find one that'll fit you.

Are they paying?
Yes, they are paying since 1998 and you don't have to worry about this.

Personally, I used this site in the past and I won some commissions but now I don't use it anymore and I want to hear your stories too in order to see if I'll give them one more try.

Your experience and my experience are about the same. CJ or Commission Junction was one of the very first affiliate programs I joined. I had high hopes. It was a combination of my own inexperience and ??? I don't know what to replace those questions marks with.

I signed up for VigLink at a much later date and I saw CJ listed as one of the merchants. I'm confused. What is that all about? When did they switch? Why did they switch? What does that even mean? Do people sign up for the program through VigLink now? It's so weird.

At any rate, even though I never made any money from any of the vendors that approved me to advertise their products, I'm not closing my account. I may eventually find a vendor whose products are HOT!

I have seen cj which is very common in many web page who divert their affiliate through them but cj is not good as they ban if you do not send mass amount of sales which is absurd. It was good earlier times and it is good if you run a high traffic web page.

Someone just introduce me to commision junction as a good affiliate directory where you can pick a product to promote, but am confuse how their payment is been handle , after promoting a product and generate a sale how will the payment for the commision be hanfle and process? Will the payment be process by commision junction or through the merchant the own the product?

This site is very good, however it is very hard to get accepted. This is the only reason I would not recommend it, otherwise it seems to be very useful and easy to use.

Many people have earned a ton of money with something like CJ.com, but I also do know for sure that they are not registering leads lot of times so it's always better to go direct if you do have such ability. Some people complain that usual adsense sites outperforming them.
