Circle Pay Reviews.jpg

Circle Pay is a payment processor just like PayPal, Skrill, Payeer etc. Through its website or mobile app, users can easily send money to other users for free and also receive money. Circle Pay initially started as a way of sending and receiving Bitcoin but things have changed and one can now send FIAT money like USD, EURO and Pounds.

Circle Pay seems to be a legit app cause its claim to be regulated by Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and it is also backed by financial powerhouse Goldman Sachs and other major investors. The company behind Circle Pay is also responsible for a lot of popular projects like Circle Invest, Circle Trade, Circle Research and Circle Coin (USDC).
It is important to note that Circle Pay is currently not available worldwide and only available in 29 countries.

- Mobile App
Circle mobile app was designed to ease the process of making payment, making it fun, simple and fast. The app interface is designed in form of conversation. Send and receive money just like text messages, add photo, gifs and more. The app also features password, fingerprint, and FaceID which can also be set up. The app is available for both Android and iOS.

- Getting Started With Circle Pay
1. Download and Install Circle Pay app directly from your respective app stores. The app is free but it is important to note that it not available worldwide, failure to find it on your app store probably means its not available in your country.
2. After installing, launch the app, accept it permissions and follow the basic setup process.
3. After setting up, the next step is to link your debit card with the app. You can easily link your debit card by entering your card zip code and CVV number.
That all you need to do to start sending and receiving via Circle Pay.

Pros:
1. Send and receive money to anyone without being charged any fee.
2. Easy to setup and use.
3. Fully regulated by FCA.
4. Features Password, Fingerprint and FaceID lock.
5. Send and receive money with a weekly payment limit of $400.
6. Fast bank transfer.
7. Send and receive money in Euro, British Pounds, and US dollars.

Cons:
1. Not available worldwide.

- Referral Program
The app also features a referral program where you can refer up to a maximum of 100 people. Whenever someone signs up using a referral code, that person will receive $10 credit after the person has linked his/her debit card and made a transfer of at least $25. The person who invited that person will also be credited with a $10 bonus. Earn bonus can be cashed out or sent to another Circle Pay user.
It is important to take note that this referral program is not currently available to everyone.

What is Circle?

Circle is a website/app that allows you to send and request money from people using either their mobile number or email address. Think of it as PayPal for friends and family without fees.

What's the deal? Circle are offering £5 free when you send £25 to a friend. The referer also receives £5. If you don't know anyone who's signed up, send your partner/friend/family member your referral link and you'll get an extra £5.
  1. Sign up using my referral link above. If you don't sign up using a referral link you won't receive £5. If you signed up using the non referral link, enter the promo code 8SNNHM (my referral code) before sending your first £25 to receive your £5.
  2. Invite a friend/family member to Circle using your referral link.
  3. Send your invited friend £25 using a debit card. (Bank transfers don't qualify)
  4. Get your friend to send you the £25 back
  5. Profit! Circle will now give you £10 and your friend £5
Can I trust them?

Absolutely. Prolific now offer Circle as a fee free form of payment, after PayPal increased their fees

Admittedly this sounds scammy but it does work

I sent £25 to my wife (who signed up using my referal) - I got £5

She then sent the £25 back to me - She got £5 and I got another £5

So we made £15 for five minutes work! not bad! :)

Circle.com is an online payment processor like PayPal, the only difference is that this processor use blockchain infrastructure for it's processing business and have wallet facilities for Bitcoin/Stablecoin.

This is a web based platform and uses USDC stablecoin which is an ERC-20 token on Ethereum blockchain.

Just like any processor, this requires KYC identity and linking to bank account. So this is only for those who are ready to leave privacy to use this.

Circle will only support PoS Ethereum Blockchain after merge.

Ethereum final merge is set to be done in 15-16 September 2022, after that ETH 2.0 will begins.

Circle has already declared that it will support only POS Ethereum network using its stablecoin USDC, time of PoW Ethereum is over now

Peace with Binance?

The company is in danger after USDC, the stablecoin issued by Circle, was depegged. At the same time, Binance has accepted USDC for trading on its platform again. Circle has to make peace with Binance.

Circle supports Digital Yuan
Circle is among the big contributors which are investing in Blockchain payment service provider CNHC for the development of Digital Yuan. However, people are suspicious, because Circle is in trouble after Silvergate collapse and USDC depeg.

Circle Pay in trouble with USDC

SEC took action on Paxos on Circle Pay's complaint, after which Paxos stopped BSUD mining, CZ previously kept quiet and relisted USDC, now slowly executing BSUD's revenge Is.

Circle will solely govern USDC

Circle is a co-developer of USDC along with Coinbase, but stablecoin regulations are such that Coinbase won't take responsibility for it, so, with an agreement between both, Circle has taken over responsibility for USDC.
