These advertising networks serve as Google AdSense alternatives to many website owners around the world.
Chitika vs Infolinks.png

The question is which one perform better on your site? How much money you earn from Chitika and Infolinks?

Infolinks founded back in 2007 offers insearch, intext, intag and inframe advertising for nearly each country in this world. Payments sent via PayPal, eCheck, ACH (only for U.S.) or Payoneer at minimum $50 or Bank Wire and Western Union at minimum $100.

Chitika founded back in 2003 offers targeted ad units for US/Canada and UK traffic, however on August 3, 2012 they announced advertising support for all countries worldwide. Payment sent via PayPal when you reach $10.00 or by Check when you have at least $50.00.

So far Chitika wins in my opinion due to low cashout, but earnings are the real factor, I didn't tried these advertising networks and I can't offer my opinion. :(

Anyone using Chitika or Infolinks? How they perform on your website? What traffic you have according to Google Analytics?

I knew it is not easy to pass in applying for a Google Adsense account. I trie dto open an account with Adhitz but it doesn't accept my blogsite. I tried Chitika this time which approved my application. I do already heard stuff about it but I think some people uses it. I am using it for several months and I had thousands of views and clicks on the ads. But I still earned nothing even just a cent. Do you think it is still a good network for blogsites?

I am surprised that you have not eared a penny even though you "had thousands of views and clicks on the ads." Chitika works similar to Adsense, it is also a PPC program, which means you will be paid when your ads get click. If your ad actually got clicked you should have earned something.

I don't even know why. I have to check it again and contact them why it happens. Anyway, I am not relying on what I can earn in Chitika, but still I should get what's rightful for me.

@vinya Suppose no one cared to click on your ads despite having thousands of views, is there a way you still earn displaying Chitika adverts? I feel very few people click on ads in most cases or find them irritating.

It looks like you placed the wrong code or they have removed your site from their system. If you didn't made a penny from those thousand's of views, then something is wrong from your site.
Try to use another alternative site, that make some money for you or sell ad space directly to advertisers.

My site is still there. When I checked my dashboard, it shows the ads that was clicked by a visitor. But when I checked my Chitika account, it only shows the impressions I got and I earned nothing.

I have to admit that Chitika is not an ideal web ads in my blog. I have been a registered member of Chitika and have place a code in my blog for several years I had not received any penny. The impression or clicking frequence in my blog is too low. Probably that that is one of the reasons why I didn't get any earnings from it.

I remember Chitika ads being accused of having malwares and spywares. I will only use Chitika if I am rejected by adsense. Persona Paper website died because they relied on Chitika. Adsense is the real source of money.

If that's the case then I think I should remove the Chitika code. But do the Persona Paper admins claimed that's the reason. I just checked the site now and they are really closing.

They died because the ads from Chitika were not profitable for them. They were even forced to stop accepting members from the Philippines because Chitika only wanted traffic from certain countries. Losing the Filipino members didn't help Persona Paper at all because they can't get American traffic neither. Adsense won't mind traffic from any parts of the world as they provide country specific ads.

I remember when Persona Paper is still new, their Adsense account was terminated which some of the members then blamed Bubblews, which is still on its heyday. That time, they reduced the rates which led me to stop doing the site. Sad about what happened to that site but not a big loss for me because I never earned either.

From what I understand they are kind of on the wrong side of history when it comes to blog sites. I more or less just go on what I hear from other users on matters like this, and this here is no different. I have heard some bad things, negative reviews, bad news stories, so I am just assuming that I want to avoid them and I will stick with my more tradition methods.

I have no option as the site I write for allows adsense or chitika. I do not want to lose my adsense account placing on that site so I have placed chitika instead. I can see number of views everyday but I have earned only few cents in last few months. I think chitika was the last alternate that I would want if I was allowed other advert options on that particular site.

Sounds like it is not even a good way to earn from. I do hope I am able to get approved in Adsense. I may be trying, if I get approved, it's good then. If not, then okay.

You don't earn on ad impression on chitika, you are paid only when your ads are clicked. Since many ad networks are PPC program, you are supposed to publish keyword rich contents that will produce contextual ads.

i think they sorted that out now, I'm not sure but i had the same problem and moved to adsense.

I tried Chitika many years ago as an alternative to adsense when Google did me dirty. Chitika didn't do anything wrong, but they didn't pay either. There was no revenue from any of the viewed or the clicked ads. I wondered what was wrong, and asked a friend in a different part of the world (not too far but still able to be counted) if they could click one to see if that was why.

I waited a day, and there was nothing but the count for the ad impression. I asked another friend (in the same country) if they could try it, and they showed me a video they recorded of them clicking it (and it was their desktop because I had helped them with a remote session for software before).

I asked a 3rd friend to click it and they did, and sent a screen shot. Still, no revenue recorded from Chitika, just that the ad was shown.

I also tried from a library, and there was still nothing.

After I posted to a forum to test it, several dozens of people clicked on it which it showed, but only 1 of those was counted. So it looked like they only counted them when they wanted to, not when they were viewed or when they were clicked on, which was not good. I stopped using them and if I remember correctly, I used another one called bidvertiser which didn't pay much, but still counted all of them.
