China has arrested 109 members of the bitcoin PlusToken project which was used illegally to collect huge sums of money from people. It's been said that around $3 billion worth of crypto was scammed! The arrestees said they encouraged investors to invest in a certain digital token and promised them of great returns which were a LIE. PlusToken was launched in 2018 and gained a lot of popularity especially in Asia. No one knew that this was a scam project.

It's nice to see that finally police id doing something against this crypto scammer on the internet. They stole billions of dollars from people and they need to pay for it

Its good to hear that they were arrested I also saw something like that plus token investment stuff, but now that they are been arrested ,I hope they could find means to get the money and refund back to the right owner

Good news . however this news is a bit confusing , considering the anonymous nature of these token and cryptocurrency , and aswell the high number of scammers caught .

It's very hard to recover the stolen money given the fact that we are talking about cryptocurrency. They probably hide their traces and keep the stolen crypto in a safe place until they get out of prison.

Honestly I hope a lot more arrests are made after due diligence.. Scammers are just everywhere. Everything you log into the internet, there's a high risk of you getting ripped off. All this proliferation of tokens here and there is a bit too much.

Am talking of when they get prosecuted then something can be done or one of them could leak ever thin and they can do more investigation on the stolen money

Good news. Hope the victims can get their money back, at least partially if it's still possible to do so, the government should help them to recover the fund.

I think the government should do so and increase their effort on the issue ,since such money can't go like that and other people involved in the crime must be arrested

that's the kind of news that i would like to hear man! finally some karma and justice in the online money making domain, finally people paying for their scams!!

I have heard about this token before but never interested to invest money onto this. Its good that these scammers true face was finally revealed.

so is that HYIPs are also such illegal/ if yes/ then why still there are many scam HYIPs on the internet/ and why launch new 20 HYIPs per day

I guess you know there is a death penalty for such crimes in China. If those scammers know they will be executed, they will hardly reveal any penny to the government.

That's good news that some cyber crime in the bitcoin world is being brought to justice.Only hope security measure can be tighten mire especially on hyips platforms so that its either they are phased out or they start operating legitimately.

More scam projects to come especially with crypto currency people just need to be careful and be aware of too good to be true scheme's.

It's nice to hear that this scammers are arrested.it should serve as a lesson to all the scammers out there., That takes people money for granted.
Make them pay for it.

Am so glad that they were arrested because a lot of people have been scammed through this process. This will also encourage people to be careful on where to invest their money.

If the China government can track this fraudstars and arrest even some hyip owners that scam people should be arrested. This is a good news and I also money is recovered.
