With governments being very careful and sceptical when it comes to the implementation and the use of cryptocurrencies, exchanges are required to make sure that everything is done by teh book, and this is understandably so as they are being treated as a forex or stock market. However, in a recent article, one of the cryptocurrency exchanges that are in Canada is actually being accused of illegal activity, namely the Poloniex exchange. The investigation is still to happen. What are your thoughts on exchanges that are facing such allegations?

Depending on the details of the accusations my stance on this issue might change, as if the allegations details are just because of police misunderstanding something or the exchange was not properly adhering to the regulations

Why do your mean by illegal activity? Any details of that? If they were doing illegal transaction, which is against the law of state, obviously that is a punishable offence.

Poloniezlx is not a small exchange actually if the new comes true , this would surely give a dent to people belief in crypto currency in the country

I think since it's facing illegal activities and been accused of such , people that have investment in the platform needs to trade with caution ,so they dont end up loosing instead of profiting ,many exchange platform are been accused of illegal activities on a dailys because if their modes and others

Exchange sites that engage in illegal activity are the ones who are spoiling the name of cryptocurrencies and the exchange sites. It is great that the government and policy makers know how to catch such perpetrators and justice will be served. I just hope that they find a way to eradicate all criminal activities surrounding cryptocurrencies so that people can stop being skeptical about them.

We have seen tons of similar news which sometimes are marketing strategy to help promote the presence of the exchange to larger audience. Until the investigation is completed, we just have to hold our judgements. Again it can also come from opponents who wants to tarnish the image of the exchange

As far as I know, Poloniex is a one of the most well-known cryptocurrency exchanges. It seems like the management should work harder in order to deal with fraud and misuse of the exchange in order to stop such kind of illegal activities that could taint the image of reliable and popular exchange like Poloniex.

It doesn't matter what our thoughts are about these exchanges because we cannot know for sure what is going on behind the scenes. Maybe they are doing illegal activities, maybe they aren't. But if the government started investigating them, then surely something suspicious must be going on. Well have to wait and see.

I think that the exchanges must be transparent about their business and financial activities if they are not involved in any sort of business that might not be legal. Honesty and transparency is the key to success and it is a very good procedure and tactic to avoid any kind of controversy that might hurt the business.

yeah I know of the exchange platform ,I think since the platform is actually well known they should be able to adjust many things on the platform ,the management should make public announcement and others to clear the users doubt about regulatory issues and others
