I attempt to register a domain name and they ask for my full name, personal address, phone number etc.

I would like to use fake information during registration of this domain, is legal, I'll get in troubles? Thanks!

I rather suggest register a domain to a provider that offers free private whois(your information is safe this way).

By registering a domain with fake information you break terms you already accepted, terms by ICANN, they can take your domain if you do not provide valid name, address etc during registration. Be careful!

I don't think it a good idea, I suggest you go by Zeus advice except you want to some illegal acts with the intended domain you want to register, if not provide your real information atleast 75%

i would provide legal information as required as i am not a celebrity or such
by using fake names you are always in trouble coz lets say you're account gets hacked and they ask you identity proof how will you provide more you are genius and you can think as well .........
thanks

Yes, you can register a domain using fake information but it can get you into troubles later on.
Suppose they may ask you for identity verification later for some reasons.
And they may even take down your domain.

You could. But it's a bad idea and likely to get your site taken offline, because it would make the hosting provider think you have something to hide...... And thus not wish to do business with you most likely. What you can do is get domain privacy for your site, and that'll keep your personal info off who is.
