I asked a designer he say Photoshop is not the program he uses but a program called Adobe...Of course you can! that's where all professional Designers & GFX go to make banners logos & avatars well to begin you should watch some youtube videos or if you don't want to make your logo but want a customized one you can still download Photoshop Templates!

yes you can create a logo using adobe but you need to learn it before creating any thing in adobe and if you have no any idea about adobe so may use an online application of their product name as spark.adobe where you can easily create logo even if you don't know the abc of graphic designing.
