For eg: abcd.com and abcd.in , can these two be different sites?

If no , by having for eg: abcd.xyz , does it reserves your right on .com and other domains aswell ?

In short if I own Abcdef.xyz , can some other guy own a
Abcdef.com later ?

Yes, there can be two different sites with same name but different TLDs - for example goodyoga.com and goodyoga.xty are two different sites owned by two different people.

yes it's possible, you can use these 2 sites for example, they are both having the same concept (games) and the difference between both of them is that one of them has .net and the other has .com

yes, they are totally different sites...but the domain name makes a value for your site... if your Abcdef.xyz site rank up and then if there's an Abcdef.com site already on internet. ..then the audience will attract to that site ..so try to buy a .com domain..

Though .com is referred to as King fro its popularity and age. Having a domain in other TLD can still turn out to be a good investment. I am aware thats not the answer to your question.

So, yes. A SLD of a domain can be registered in various TLD eg. MYHOME.COM

MYHOME - SLD
.com - TLD

As such we can have; MYHOME.org, MYHOME.biz, MYHOME.io etc

Sure they are different and can be own by different people. A dot com domain is best for commercial purpose while the others are for specific purposes.

You must know how these woi so that you do not feel bad when you are outsmarted.xyz.com and XYZ.net are not the same thing but there existence fqn harm the online interest of the other, that is why corporate organisation takes all the domain extension because they want traffic not to be shared by these seemingly websites

Its depends, who are running those site. Sometimes, big tech companies create their related site like blogs or support sites by like main domain. But formally see its two different domains. Many scammers also doing it, make a related domain site.
Before justifying a site, please find the ownership of that site.

if the activities of the sites do not overlap, then no one will take it away from you. But if 1 sells cars, and 2 also sells, repairs and leases cars, they can be taken away. This applies to gTLDs and ccTLDs. This does not apply to domains in new gTLD zones

Yes both are different if asking for a scenario that holding org or other TLD you can certainly get .com and redirect it will be easier for searchers to find your site , but .com is standard and should be first choice

Depending on a lot of things it can be very hard, or completely impossible, to take a domain away for this reason. Particuarly if the domains are registered in different countries then it will be extremely hard, and expensive to challenge someone's right to a domain.

as an example: "tell this to those who have their domains taken away: coca-cola.com, mercedes.com, refrigerator.com etc"

Sorry, I don't get your point, are these domains where the companies have sucessfully taken the domains away from someone else?
Even if so, I didn't suggest it was impossible to take domains away (and the companies you mentioned are large multi-nationals), just hard, especially for individuals and small companies.

For the average web surfer, the URL bar provides an easy search bar and "fuzzy" match tool—revealing the treasures of the internet at the stroke of 'enter'.

For those of us in IT roles, software development, or network administration—we know it gets much more complicated. We quickly slip down the rabbit hole and into OSI, DNS, TLS, HTTPS, subdomains… ok. Focus.

For our partners in network security, web filtering, ad tech, and more—there is a critical distinction that we make between two basic types of URLs: base domains and full path URLs.

Well, it can be different sites, but if you check popular sites and some websites has lot of domains and sub domains, so it will be not same for all the sites

Yes, and it depends on the size of the company. Take each domain at an average price of say $10, I'm not sure how many tdls there are, but assuming one for each country and also all of the new ones they have added recently there must be 400 or more. So if you wanted to register your name for every possible domain you would be looking at an anual bill of over $4,000. For companies like Google that is nothing, (which is why they have registered them all, or at least almost) but for small companies, bloggers etc that is an impossible amount of money to spend ..

Yes both will be different.. if it is not owned by same owner, Yes we can buy other domains too if we need, and not already taken by someone, so our site can easily navigated

Yes they would be treated as two different websites even if you own the two websites with different tlds. Apart from that, a slight change or difference in the letters of the domain name would make them separate websites

To my own understanding, technically they are different but they are not because it depends on what function they perform and what they are been used for. gov reserve a government agency or indicate a government organization while com indicate business. There changes are different from each other.

That was the plan -- but aside from just a few examples (.gov being a good one), and domain extension can be used for any kind of business - it's a bit of a shame becuase it was a good idea for domain extensions to indicate the type of business, but it never worked...

The two are different and I think there is nothing wrong with that, but you can not use for instant abc. com and another person somewhere will also chose to use the same never it will say someone else have been in use of it so you chose another one,but it can be use with .org,com,and others I dont know if you get me right.
