Popular crypto exchange Bitmex recently announced that they would take necessary steps for a carbon reduce-setting regime shortly. They are preparing to set up a plan to collect a portion from withdrawals in the Bitmex platform. As a report, The platform wishes to donate $0.0026 for each $1 of blockchain fees its customers spend.
What do you think about this statement? Does it really effective for the emission of carbon?

In general a good step, will this eco-fees added ontop of transaction fees or will they reduce their profits? If there is greenpainting on cost of their customers it's still good for the world but not sure if customers vote with their feet and choose a cheaper ex.
