Your initial investment is locked up for a certain amount of days (depends on how much you invest) and then you earn interest on your investment, it can be 1% on a day or sometimes 0%. Please use my reff link :)

Bitconnect seems a legit one but it requires enough capital to invest like some mining sites. But this is better than many HYIP sites. This is more secure.

Quick withdrawals. I continue to make about 1% per day on average, though some days have been as low as 0.04%. Still on track to break even in about 120 days. Bitconnect.co held a conference in Thailand this week to reward top investors and promoters. I haven't seen any announcements come out of the conference at this point. If I can dig up something that looks promising, or better yet a roadmap for 2018 I'll likely double my investment. For now I still highly Bitconnect!

One thing that came out of the annual conference is that they're introducing a debit card in December that is linked to your Bitconnect coin balance, that you can use anywhere that accepts Visa. They will auto-convert into USD and EUR for sure, not positive on other currencies. This is a very significant breakthrough as it allows you to directly use your earnings to buy things without having to deal with bitcoin conversion/etc., which is going to save a good chunk of money in transaction fees.

They also lowered/simplified the referral structure today (moved down to 3 levels, reduced first level from 7% down to 5%), which I think is actually a positive from a sustainability standpoint. I think they will eventually lower affiliate commission more (I'm expecting it to drop down to 3%) as they continue to build the network, which again is positive from a sustainability standpoint.

Even the mainstream banking industry has not approve the use of virtual currency.

The reason the banking industry has not approved virtual currency yet is because it's their competition for now. Think about the rate banks are loosing customers if people are withdrawing their money from the bank to invest into Bitcoin or other alt coins.
If the banks don't incorporate digital currency as an alternative means of trade for their clients, soon they might not have any clients left. Cryptocurrency is a major disruptor even for the banking industry.

This is great will be looking at reinvesting again, though I got myself burnt by scamming sites,I wish I knew about this forum then to stay away from those scam site.I'm thinking of returning to investing again on sites.

Okay, confession time: I once lost over $10,000 messing around with stock options. But that was right after I got a chunk of money from selling a house at a profit. (I got divorced, and since she made more money than me, I did NOT get my bank accounts cleaned out.) I was younger, newly single, and had no dependents to support.

Now I'm a married old fart with two young kids. Losing a chunk of money like that would kill me!

In light of the recent collapse of the "sure thing" called BitPetite, how confident are y'all that this BitConnect will last more than a month or so?

The HUGE problem with these HYIPs is that they are, well, just that, HYPE. There is absolutely no regulatory agency trying to ensure that you aren't just being cheated by criminals.

@mmmbeefy , if you were to try to convince someone like me, (well, maybe not me - someone more open minded!), that BitConnect was a LEGITIMATE opportunity, what would you say? How would you prove your point, and counter the many arguments put forward that this is simply a scam?

Bitconnect is a bit different than your standard HYIP as it's backed by a coin (Bitconnect Coin - BCC). Allegedly, they make money with a trading bot, though I don't believe anyone has seen it and some doubt it exists. There is a bit of protection because you can hold BCC to your own wallet, or sell on an exchange without Bitconnect.co. That being said the unrealistic returns (0.9% daily) and the marketing hype set off the ponzi scheme warning bells.

Bitconnect has been around over a year and until recently was the only game in town. Over the last couple months you've seen an explosion of "lending coins", Regalcoin for example, and some will be an absolute scam. We've already seen Bitbase.io collapse (https://www.beermoneyforum.com/threads/bitbase-io-reviews-scam-or-legit.7567/page-2#post-81766) and most others have had a shaky start.

I do believe the "lending coin" programs are different than programs without a coin backing them, but they're no guarantee and standard warning apply like "do not invest what you can't afford to lose". Finally, I am in Bitconnect and am seeing profits. I'll feel amazing when my capital is release They just had their annual conference and are now listed on a couple external exchanges. Since this is somewhat HYIP related site, investing in haste is quite risky. Based on the posted information and comments, no one here yet has a proof of payment, all those posted data were from other individuals of whom bitconnect posted on their proof of payment and investor's wall. We should maybe need to review this site more to prove its stability and legitimacy. Just to make sure, for us also to be scam - safe.

I honestly don't know for sure whether it's a legit trading platform or a ponzi. The money I invested is from excess return of my capital from mining. Some things that helped me get there as far as investment:

1. You can get the coin for free by either staking or mining. Lending to the trading platform is not actually required to make money.
2. I know that good trading bots can get you 1-1.5% daily (ex., Gunbot), so getting 0.9% a day would still imply at least a 10% net margin for Bitconnect. They also make money on withdrawals and internal trading platform fees (converting BTC to Bitconnect). So there's a stable conceivable business model.

That said, the skeptic in me thinks this is just a really well conceived ponzi, that will hold up as long as Bitcoin remains valuable. They were smart to tie the value of their coin directly to BTC (which incidentally has gone up 980% this year) while tying their lending program to the USD and paying out about 350% a year. They were also smart to lock up deposits long term, it enforces a "buy and hold" mentality, there is also strong reinvestment behavior among the member participants. In other words, even if the trading program is entirely fake, the way they have it structured would incentivize the owners to keep it going long term.

To address this one specifically, I generally don't trust anything that specifically promises more than about 1.5-2% a day. It's very possible to make that kind of money either mining or trading in the crypto arena, but that's really about the upper limit, and both are subject to variations. Neither of my "big two" recommendations promise anything higher than 0.1% (Bitconnect doesn't promise any daily profit, Chain Group is 0.1%). That's probably the strongest thing I can say in support of either one of these, is that, like any legit investment, they don't promise an ROI.
