That's what we say good riddance to.

Its such individuals that make people lose faith in bitcoin, believing anything to do with it is a scam.

This is a sad story for the trader involved. The trader too made a mistake for helping the scammers to sell the bitcoins in the first place, now he is sentenced to prison for making such mistake. This should be a lesson to all of us to always be careful while we are trading.

I don't think it was a mistake. He was a partner to the crime . He knew that those guys were scammers but he prefer to make profit from the deal

This is a nice judgement, helping someone to sale something knowing fully well were that thing came from. 40 years plus his age is equivalent to life sentence, maybe by time he come out he will not remember why he was convicted.

If actually he was a a partner to the criminals involved and helped them sold their coins, then he rightly deserve the punishment the law sentenced him to.

I think he deserved to be jailed if the allegation are true because i can't jus imagine what those people he have scammed would be going through now i think

Indeed , forty years is quite long but sometimes we there is usually government pardone . He only have to spend the majority of his life there .

Wow I think the number of years is harsh and not worth the amount he scammed people of. I never know United States give prison sentence that is up to 40 years. I hope this will serve as lesson to others
I think if that amount of years been given for fraud is going to reduce fraud , let it be because we don't really know if many has committed suicide because of that i think

I think when it comes to crime sentence , the sentence given is a function of the severity of the offence. It cannot be fixed for all .

He could be pardon but not anytime soon they would have wasted his life just as you said before him and maybe rehabilitate him and reintegrate him into the society

Sure ,but it seems that what they did was to use him to set examples for people who may want to indulge in such crime in the near future.

Yeah but i must say that it will not set an example for such people. Because they will do whatever they want to. ( I mean hecking and looting others) So there should be a system which is safe and sound abd we don't let them in
Security is one of the biggest challenge in Crypto currencies till this moment but if there is proper execution of scammers it will reduce the crime rate in Crypto currencies.

But majority are still not making it regular. Especially Asian Countries are not allowing crypto currency legally. There are still restrictions.
It is mostly the western countries that has truly allow the use of cryptocurrencies legally, other countries are just watching the situation but for now they are not moved to legalize.
