❕NEWS Bitcoin Surpasses PayPal As Per Value Transferred, Pursues After Mastercard

The Bitcoin network is said to have processed more volume by dollar value than Paypal, also the largest decentralized cryptocurrency network in the world by market cap could outstrip Mastercard by as early as 2026. Bitcoin network processed about $489 billion per quarter in 2021, which is greater than PayPal's $302 billion.
This is also an indication that people are Investing heavily on cryptocurrencies at the moment

Without even this news it is glaring that Bitcoin will process more then even PayPal. The first limitation for PayPal is that it doesn't work with all countries unlike BTC that can be used by all and sundry. So there's no way it can compete favourbly with crypto when it comes to the processing volume.

Well bitcoin's transactions are automated while majority of the paypal's transactions are being check by real humans to detect if there are fraud transactions that are happening in paypal so this is quite not really surprising, and transactions in the bitcoin network are non reversible but in paypal if there is fraud they can reverse it, Although some prefered to use bitcoin more than paypal as in some cases paypal has higher transaction fees than bitcoin

This might just be the reason for their slow transaction process but I thought there is automation too with PayPal because transfering of money doesn't take much time and it doesn't seems like it's done by humans. I think this is automated or didn't I understand your idea well. You get put the record straight though.

Yes there automation in the processes in paypal Though I still think the the algorithm might probably flag or wrongly flag some transactions so it gets held up and it needs to be checked by a human to make sure nothing is wrong with the transaction. As I seem to notice that big amounts of money being transferred are usually the transaction that gets held up especially when the paypal account that sends or receives it is a new account

Your submission is valid, a couple of times I have heard people complains about their accounts being limited and funds withheld and other time wasting act like that. yeah you are right getting off the hooks like these can be very tiring and draining. I think it could be because of the volume of work that theu msybe facing daily that delays the process. All the same the crypto process is way better

BTC have shown to be the coin for the people, it will continuously moving forward and closing in on breaking more boundaries. But what really matters is the price moving up high, in order for it's investors to earn with their invested funds with time. PayPal's strict orders have paved the way for it's users to move over to cryptocurrency, and they've seen the best how crypto works.

PayPal is only not strict it has the huge problem of not even allowing so many countries be part of their system. So woth the ease of use of crypto currency I think it has made them lose huge numbers of people. People like to transact more now I'm crypto than use their platform especially with their stiff rules of use

Yeah, PayPal simply has plenty issues, to address their issue, is very much. They aren't supporting to most countries in the world, and our beloved country isn't among too. Whereas cryptocurrency accepts everyone to trade anytime and receive payment and withdraw anytime too.

You got the point I think this are the reasons that crypto is surpassing them and until the addresses those issues that might keep on losing clients because by the time people get to know more that the use of crypto is less cumbersome then switching over wouldn't be difficult for them. I think the main reason PayPal is still used is the level by which they try to stamp out fraud unlike crypto use

If not for the robust security adoption of PayPal to combat all sort of money laundering, I wouldn't see anything attractive to users to use it. Because the charges are simply high, and the strictness of banning accounts is too obvious. Cryptocurrency needs to combat the scam around it, and everything will work superb.

This news leaves me completely amazed my friend!
I knew that the volume of Bitcoin traffic had grown exponentially in the last few years. But what amazed me most about this overtaking is above all the fact that Paypal had a clear advantage over time. This since Paypal was established in 1999, so exactly TEN YEARS before Bitcoin!

You are right there mate. The PayPal usage it's self is annoying but for the fraudulent activities they try to curb I give it to them. This is why we hear a lot about criminal activities with crypto currency. The thieves have almost all moved to the network. I agree that crypto needs to work on killing fraudulent activities and a lot more people will move to it

Am not suprised about that , because Bitcoin is becoming a very more popular payment model compared to PayPal ,I think if the fees were cheaper it would have even gotten more than that range of transaction, because of the fast growth that's taking place in the coin and lot of people don't want to miss out from the importance attached to cryptocurrency in every possible way and methods ,that's the basis of Bitcoin

I have said it severally that cryptocurrency is a threat to many online payment platforms such as PayPal and payoneer. once online platforms such as Amazon and so many of them begins to accept cryptocurrency fully as a payment option then people will no longer use those payment platforms because cryptocurrency is much more convenient.

lmao 😄. The thieves have all moved on to crypto since PayPal doesn't entertain such. Since crypto is anonymous, they simply wants to over saturate it with their fraudulent ways. That's where crypto needs to work, and it's mainly for those exchange sites and wallets to curb scam around crypto to put that trust into it just like many business merchants trust PayPal.

This is so true and I am even happy about this news. I believe it would send a message to PayPal to let them know that we have found a peaceful alternative for transactions than their doom payment method that has caused pain to a lot of us through making sure they ban accounts unnecessarily or limit individuals transactions.

I believe when PayPal officials check the search engines this thread will appear, and others too, they'll simply see what people are saying about their banking system and it's weird charges. I use PayPal, but to be frank I'm not happy with the charges, and the way of limiting users account too.

They won't take the complains serious as you may be thinking, especially if they get to realise that only people from low tier countries are complaining. The fact is that they have a good reputation in too tier countries and they do not care much about what people in low tier countries like Nigeria are passing through using their services.
