I read on the internet that people actually plan to launch a satellite that will allow others to use Bitcoin/make transactions and stuff without the need of an internet connection.

There is a similar project which Mark Zuckerberg started with the company "Facebook". They want free internet around the world and they are making it possible as far as I know. Its yet to be known when and if they gonna release a satellite so we are able to do transactions without the need of internet .

I think this is a bit strange.It is a first time I hear about it.Although if this will be through it will make the Bitcoin even stronger and more well known,because there are many people who didn't heard about Bitcoin yet.

Noting is impossible. It is petty much possible. You can not always rely on internet in critical situations. An alternative should be there in place.

I will never know that these things exist until you shared them. I hope it will come too soon so that the world will benefit from it's implementation. If internet is free then many people will choose to work online at home, which means less traffic and less pollution.

It is strange right ? A satellite ? That costs millions of dollars .. ( probably paid with BTC ) only to make Bitcoin available without internet connection. It would be cool in the same time !

Accessibility yeah.It will be available anywhere , no internet connection required. You simply take your phone out, open your wallet and do the transaction by scanning QR code or just doing the transaction manually.

I think this is definitely a good concept. And something worth considering. I am nnot sure how many people want to be using the bitcoin at such large scale. Afterall it is limited amount like gold. So that would be something one has to consider while investing into it. I'd instead invest into the bitcoin cash though. that seems to be working better for many of us in near future. you may need some funding to see the satellite and all infrastructure up.

With this, transactions can be made without having to rely on the economy of the government and control of the banks. I am wondering what the banks will do regarding this though. Once cryptocurrency becomes commonly used, they won't have the same authority and power as they used to. I'm sure they won't be taking this sitting down.

It may be a very expensive thing to do only for bitcoin but I guess it may be paid with bitcoins itself so why not. I doubt that will happen very soon because I feel like bitcoin needs to be more popular than it is now.I can imagine the space filled with satellites lol . Quite funny.

I mean there is no real need of internet work only. Some jobs really require a person on a certain place.About pollution, we could instead limit our use of sources that make the air polluted, behave smart , and the environment/atmosphere would be protected as well.

The idea behind the bitcoin satellite is for you to be able to send and receive transactions without the need of having internet on your phone.Basically, the satellite gets launched to space and then through that satellite you are allowed to send money to anyone you would like.

I read it on the official bitcoin community, I think. Im not sure, just somewhere around the internet.It is great indeed , but its gonna be a very expensive project I assume if that happens one day.

Launching a satellite only for bitcoin in the space requires sooooo much funding. It would be incredibly expensive but I think it is doable and there is a good reason why people should do that . Still, I don't see it happening any soon . Maybe if something happens and paper money stop getting used..

There is no way that the governments gonna stay calm. I think they will try to fight.We all know that theres so much money involved in that so that would be a huge loss for the countries or maybe,maybe they gonna try to take advantage of it and make some kind of profit out of it in someway but still thats against the bitcoin definition.
