There are many countries that are starting to adopt cryptocurrency and Bitcoin into their financial infrastructure and for many it has shown to be a good venture as it has helped the country out of some debt that was experienced as a result of the pandemic. However, according to Michael Saylor he doubts that America will be added to this list, saying that he seriously does not think that bitcoin will become a known currency within the country. Do you think that statements like this can affect the growth of Bitcoin knowing that such a prominent power house country is not buying into it.

Never is a long time... however USD is currently world's reserve currency... this makes the US the opposite situation from El Salvador (where they haven't had their own currency for decades)... so given all the countries in the world, the US perhaps is toward the bottom of the list when it comes to how advantageous it would be for it to say, make bitcoin legal tender.

I agree with @CryptoStar19 , USA wants advantage in its favour; there are many countries with no official currencies and are using other currencies like USD, if they move to BTC like Salvador, then USA might try to take control of Bitcoin.

Us adopting cryptocurrencies as legal tender automatically kill.the USD and their dominance in the world as the most powerful country could be a mirage because most countries will now be financially independent.

USA can still accept BTC and other cryptocurrencies as Digital asset, same as commodities traded in stock market. It is up to people to how to use it.

They are accepting already but the move to accept it as legal tender is what I don't see it coming to reality considering the US dollar.

I don't agree with Saylor when he says Bitcoin is not well known in USA. Actually USA is one if the countries who are early Bitcoin adopters, it's just that a lot of companies don't want to use it because of its volatility.

If accepted for trading, then it will become legal itself; people will be able to buy precious metals, oil, gas, food, and various commodities using cryptos.

I agree, it is USA for which even PayPal is accepting BTC and ALT.

He didn't give any tangible reason as to why bitcoin will not be accepted in America but the fact is that government are still researching bitcoin

I honestly don't think it will ever be adopted... Simply because of its volatility nature. If it ever gets adopted I wonder if the pricing will go? I just don't see it working for payments

Well , it is not everyone that will want to invest in it , only those who knows how to capitalize on it's Volatility will be able to do so .

It is not that because "you don't think" , you should give the details @Humbu , volatility is not the reason, this volatility made Bitcoin price higher as well. Volatility can be a reason, yet many companies are adopting bitcoin.

Very interesting hey, let's see how it all plays out. Bitcoin is indeed the future for money, we learn everyday. I guess some of the company owners know when to grab an opportunity

As far as i know from news reports i think that they have a separate research team that is dedicated solely to cryptocurrency research so this could be a promising sign for the country.

Promising sign ? I thought he said that it won't be accepted ? . Well , since it's is still under debate , let us wait and see what happens afterwards.

According to Michael Saylor he says that bitcoin will never be fully adopted in the usa, however by the fact that they have a task team that is working on it, my opinion is that there may be hope yet.

Ok . USA do not need to adopt bitcoin fully , they just need to allow interested individuals to use it as they like without having legal challenges

I think time will tell if bitcoin will be fully adopted or not but with way events are unfolding and the influence bitcoin has on other currency, the US may not be left with any other option than to accept the coin into their system.

After reading the discussion between @AudraMiller and @Josemendez , it seems that was a hypothesis of Michael Saylor, very unhelpful hypothesis .
I believe everybody is entitled to his or her own opinion but I think the issue here is that his opinion shouldn't be use to draw a conclusion because he is just a single person
