Bitcoin lovers have expressed their hatred towards Twitter's new policy which states that their personal information will be shared with advertisers. Twitter benefits from ads and by sharing users' personal info they can better identify what they like and don't like. This is totally unfair as they're sharing other people's private info for money. I hope Twitter changes this policy ASAP...

Wait how is this policy affecting people with bitcoin, shouldn't everyone on twitter be angry towards this policy I don't get what is the connection with bitcoin and this twitter policy - please elaborate thanks!

Why would they show hatred? That doesn't exist on twitter only, it's almost a thing on every popular platform, just like in youtube and facebook

What people wouldn't do because of money. So Google even tracking people's activities isn't enough now Twitter wants to do same and even share the information to advertisers for some pay. Authorities should raise against this.

I doubt if I will participate in any activities of trading Bitcoin or earning that will involve the use of Twitter which I will not have control of my personal or private information.

Nothing new, if you want to be truly free, then you gotta cut off your internet since virtually everyone is spying on you right now, not just bitcoin investor.

As good as the internet community might be , you need to be careful of the kind of information you release out, I can't cut of my internet because of Twitter policy but I can avoid it.

It's not about the internet community, it's more about unethical corporates who don't care about people's privacy and decided to sell users' private data to advertisers instead of protecting them.

There's no way one can cut out the internet not in this era, only protection can really help.i know slot of people use VPN but it becomes difficult on earning sites since sites are against it. But then our pivacy needs to be respected by site owners.

You're wrong. Simply google "Amish people" or any other indigenous people who are still live in a traditional way. Not counting those modern people who rejects technological advancement. There will be always two side of a coin.

I was referring to those that have already have access to the internet wouldn't want to cut off from the internet because of privacy issues, not those that are yet to have the internet experience. The way would be to protect ones privacy than staying away from the internet

You are right @Brain, it is not easy for people who had the taste of internet activities especially money making to do without it unlike those who don't have any of their vital information on the internet.

The internet itself is very addictive coupled with the fact that we now earn a lot from it,it will difficult for users to stay away from it because of hackets that leak vital information. The sure bet is being protective of the information you leave online or stop leaving sensitive information online.

You get a point, the internet will rather grow stronger and get more involved than going off, money making is now in two phases, online and offline, this is a big relief to both citizens and government.

Definitely,so no policy will make people stay away from the internet even when the news that their personal data will be shared to advertisers. No two ways about it, best bet protect your data and give no vital information to a site

I believe that they are sharing the info just for showing the proper advertisements according to their need and i think they are going to use artificial intelligence in it.

It is happening everywhere because the very nature of bitcoin's volatile price movement. Some policy makers consider this no better than gambling.

I was taught in high school that nothing is ever private online. Once you post something on the Internet, it becomes public consumption. I thought it was just to scare us though but I've gone on to believe this to be true.
