The bitcoin lightning network hit $200 million in four months, which was four times the amount before El Salvador's government announced its intention to accept bitcoin.

This comes after El Salvador announced that bitcoin will be recognized as legal money alongside the dollar. There was $50 million worth of bitcoin in circulation prior to this. Following the announcement, the lightning network acquired an additional $150 million in bitcoin. This means that the value of the lightning network has increased to $200 million.
