it happened to one of the people I know and he couldn't access his coinbase account, no email authentication at all but he says that coinbase always prompts him to do KYC to recover an account, when he didn't even did KYC with his old account
That's pity . I tried recovering my coinomo account using my recovery phrase but was directed to an empty wallet , despite the fact that the phrase was correct .

If you are sending very low amount of bitcoin the fee is usually not encouraging especially now that it is on the high side , preferably amount like $20 or more shoud be sent now.

I think its caused by the increase in price of bitcoin and the transaction rate and both the user base have increase as well , I hope the fee reduces especially for those that transact on a dailys

The number of transactions in blockchain are just too much and this is what cause the fee to spike most time, just like you mentioned when the price is increased, actually this contribute a lot because many people might be eager to sell their coins and some may see it as opportunity to invest.

Am not sure if anyone would want to invest during this time that both the transaction fee and price has increased ,since someone will not like to buy this time around thats its not balance
