The number of bitcoin ATMs around the world has surged in the past few years. There are around 8000 ATMs globally and it just begins to show how bitcoin and the other cryptos are gaining massive popularity. North America has the most number of ATMs and in some countries, the authorities are keeping an eye out for these ATMs in case of money laundering. In Canada for instance, authorities are tracking every crypto ATMs.

this is a really amazing news I saw a video once in Japan there is stores that accept payments by bitcoin so just grab what you want than scam the QR code and make the transaction it's really amazing

There are about 70 countries that has bitcoin ATM with US. Having the highest number of locations , my country Nigeria currently has one location too and about 20 countries also with 1 location each. It a great one.

Since your country has not legalized it and it is strongly against the use of bitcoin , it may be difficult to have one in your country any time soon until it is legalized.

That's great , I will search for the city where of Nigerla location is so I can use it but I also Google to ascertain this but to my surprise China is not listed to be having Bitcoin ATMs, could this be possible?

China is way over bitcoin, they don't want anything to be crypted this is why it's the most country that has cameras, they follow every move that people do, most of chinese people use Wechat Pay it's more like paying with your phone with QR code and it's realted to their government

I once read online that one of the top countries that uses Crypto currencies so I was surprised that China was not listed though most African countries have one location each.

yeah as I told you China is so restricted in those things because you can't know where bitcoin or altcoin are coming from because they are crypted so they can't follow their citizens this is why they don't use it

Initially Bitcoin was banned in China it was later protected by their law so they use it now and other Crypto currencies too but since the government not in full support that's why they don't have the Atm. US has highest number of about 7000+.

I don't think China is restricted when it comes to bitcoin because they uses it also through there could be another reason why the ATM is not available there.

if you see and search about what happening in chian you will see that they are so against anything that can be private, they have every information about their citizens, they don't respect the private life

Well, that's just how living in China is. They don't have internet, they have intranet. The government's great firewall keeps a lot of sites inaccessible in China.

I learnt China does things that only them can benefit from especially when it involves information sharing, they have their own social media platforms not Twitter nor Facebook but for bitcoin I think they are using itm

I read now on Google that initially there was a bitcoin Atm in yuan before the Crypto crack down on china as at 2018, it is possible that they might be installed soon since Crypto activities have resumed back.

Don't bother searching the google , I had checked it earlier when I saw this thread , the Bitcoin ATM is located in Lagos and it was launched on the 6th of march 2020 so it is just few months old.
