Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao wanted to help a guy who lost all his bitcoin savings in a scam. The guy who is a podcast host posted a video on Twitter saying how he lost it and getting all emotional about it. He basically downloaded a fake bitcoin wallet app from Google Chrome and then the app asked him to enter his recovery phrase. After that, all of his bitcoins were stolen. So guys, please be careful as a lot of these scams are happening now. Don't download any FAKE wallet apps from the internet!

that's a really good move from the CEO of binance because I'm sure he didin't do that because he saw the guy sad but for the marketing of his company and audience acceptance

Hope the boy get back his money..yes its really bad that many scammer now a days make fake wallet and people get scamme.. So we need to be aware and take a review before using any wallet..again we should try to use popular wallet..its helpful

This is very bad , I think the wallet or app he downloaded might have promised him more gains or profit so he decided to give it a try , it would be good if he ccould

In the crypto world everything is anonymous by default. Hence there is no way to verify about what he is saying. Did he mention the name of the application.

Anyone can trace any crypto transaction if the know the wallet address or the hash code of the transaction. So, it's not completely untraceable.

So this guy who lost the money was smart enough to say that the wallet was the one who scammed him. So that there can be no further questions raised about the claims that he is making.
I guess he might have mentioned the app and have been asked further question , but maybe the poster didn't update it as that might be issue now

All online activities are risky honestly, this can happen to everyone as people easily clone apps now, even the popular bitcoin wallets can be faked by app developers and people won't know.

I guess those that download the fake one do use another site to get the wallet app ,since play store do regulate their apps , thats why I prefer downloading on google play store

What! This is just appalling. These scammers can be so annoying taking away all someone bitcoin. Really bad here I hope he gets the needed help from THE CEO

Sad loss, especially now that having Bitcoin is a lot like having gold. It is very inspiring that the CEO has offered to be of assistance in this case, I can imagine the ensuing devastating shock to discover that the wallet was a scam to steal Bitcoin

It is really worrisome to know that even some wallets now are scamming or are created by scammers, so one just have to be more careful with all of these online

A good practice is to research every website before registering an account with them, bmf has some good reviews, and also trust pilot is another great review site. Most times a Google search can provide the necessary answers

This is very unfortunate. If such people have started hanging out, we will not be able to escape.
Kindly make a post and tell the usere which wallet is real or which is scam

and on top of that, downloading the app from trusted sources like google play store or app store for iPhone users would reduce the chance of getting scammed like this as well.
