CEO of venture capital firm Social Capital, Chamath Palihapitiya while sharing his view on cryptocurrencies in a new All-In Podcast interview notes that the US can no longer effectively ban Bitcoin and crypto, saying the crypto industry is now too big to be under any ban by the US government. This comes after Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell said he has no intention to place a ban on cryptocurrencies

It should be allowed if it doesn't hurt the economy of à country and also can be allowed with strict rules and regulations yo be honest IMO

The us government have really gone far in terms of Bitcoin development ,so I don't think they would actually want to ban Bitcoin unnecessarily like that

I mean there's lots of giants in the US that is in crypto currency and is making fortunes by using Cryptocurrency. If they ban it they will simply move where it's allowed or just bribe their way into it

Even the government are making fortune off it , taking a look at the mining companies that are been taxed and others gives them more revenue

Yeah that's why if they decided to ban it somehow it will be bad for them mostly since lots of revenue will be gone and people will just move to where it's allowed

Probably why they can't think of banning at the moment ,they have seen the high advantage and contributions to the economy ,instead they should popularise it more

The government is gaining or making profit off crypto currency trading and mining so what would be their gain from just banning it. I even don't understand for countries already banning crypto currency like Nigeria

Before the billionaire investor come public to make such declaration he has seen reasons why USA can't get rid of BTC and any other coin. The number of investors, and the enormous benefits around BTC wouldn't allow such.

Honestly majority of the bigger companies in the United States are into cryptocurrencies already and this is making it very strong trend in the country.

Yeah, with this companies around United States of America, and their huge investment around BTC, I don't see the government forcing the ban around cryptocurrency. Because, this high profile names in the country will strongly back the coin.

Bitcoin have been used to them and have fetch them more gains as they have earned multiple amount of money through taxing mining and crypto related companies ,so it will be difficult to just get rid of it

Yes, that wouldn't be easy decision to make since the citizens are used to investing around the coins. What they should do, is regulate the transactions going through it, to reduce the act of money laundering and not thinking about ban.

And also they have created Bitcoin atm all over the country ,if they should ban it now it would be negative effect to them and the economy as a whole

the usa has some of the biggest mining farms now in the world. after china has shut down all their mining farms. china has said they have shut down all their mining farms. but i dont believe everything that china officially states. the chinese government just might have left a 1 or 2 mining farms running, if they think it was to the governments interest. the mining farms in the states are increasing employment in the regions they are located, paying local, state & federal taxes. these mining farms are increasing cash flow in the local economy - workers need housing, buy food, cloths, eat at restaurants, buy gas, among other things. so its in the best interest that they dont try to ban it. i also think its too late to try to ban cryptos.

Yes, I don't even think so, if they'll ban it. Such are simply negative feedbacks that makes the prices of the coins go bearish, due to the fear it will be impacting to investors.

here in the eu now, there are many atm machines for btc & many other coins. they are in malls, trains stations, where ever there are a large of people. there are even atm machines in computer shops. i use an atm machine that is in a computer shop. i know many of the temp. workers from africa & other parts of the world, use the btc atm machines to send money home. its cheaper & faster than using western union for example. so, in many places over the world, cryptos are now being used on a daily basis. so the usa might try to ban cryptos, but i think the usa is too late now. the usa might try to restrict cryptos but again it will be a losing battle for them.

They still can if they want to, just look at China when they ban all mining operations there, back then the majority of crypto mining were done in that country.

It would really be more of disadvantage because so many jobs would be lost ,the increasing unemployment opportunity would start to cause issues in the street ,so he government cat do it

I agree with you they are a lot of big names in this game of investing in cryptocurrency especially in BTC the major of Miami is a strong contender here. so they will definitely kick agsnist any ban. But sometimes I wonder the gain on this ban what are they people banning crypto gaining from it
