Many flying companies in the USA are going to go completely bankrupt in only 2 months, why ? Nobody flies anymore due to this pandemic and because the investors use only 4% of what they earn as a backup in the company in case some problem happens ( Covid-19 at the moment ) and the rest of the 96% go to the stock buybacks .
The flying companies now are asking for help from the government and people that pay taxes after they were earning billions of dollars each year .
What companies do you think they will go bankrupt due to this pandemic too ?

Let hope it doesn't take up to 3 years to recover, government can get foreign grants and also provide local grants to enable busineses recover faster.

Not just airlines, retail chain JCPenney, Apex Parks, True Religion Apparel and many more also filled for bankruptcy protection. That's not counting people who had been furloughed or even fired.

Dont know about big companies but a lot of local companies in every country will become bankrupts

Some countries do have better policy than others, so no, not every company/businesses will bankrupt, for example in Finland (some other European countries) the government is giving money to companies to keep them afloat, the catch? The company must not fire any of its employee.

This is so beautiful I wish there's a global policy like this to restrain all countries from doing mass retrenchment because this is happening in my country.it appalling that the government can help the masses here stay afloat

Nah, it's impossible since not all countries have that kind of monetary reserve. Plus different laws and regulations sometime prevented that kind of policy to be implemented.

I know but anything to cushion negative effect on the poor masses would have been welcomed. You know some country's officials are just corrupts embezzling funds meant for everyone.

I think most insurance companies may also go bankrupt, because at such a time there are so many claims to be paid out.

It is the inevitable fact of life - most (if not all) politicians are just corrupt regardless of where they came from or their background.
Yeah they are everywhere and I believe if they stop embezzling these funds some policies will go along way to alleviate the suffering of the masses just like in the developed world.

Politicians and top carrier civil servants are part of those making it dificult to make life much more comfortable for a common man. If there are better policies most of these companies will be able to recover easily and soonest.

There is no country with zero rate of corruption, that means even in the developed countries corrupt politicians and lawmakers still exist.

We are saying the same thing, in the developed countries even with corrupt practices policies are also implemented to help the general masses grow as well like you stated in your earlier post but some developing countries like mine, the government focus more on amassing wealth at the detriment of the masses,no implementation of policies that will improve growth of others.

You are right, the amount the politicians recieve as emonulment are just to bogus, yet no full implementation of their constituents or state budget. Even in the US there is corruption but policies and style of governance makes it more unnoticed.

Tourism is one of the most adversely affected industries by the COVID-19 virus. In fact, those who are working in the online freelancing industry are losing their jobs, too. The Food industry is doing quite well here in PH. They make up for the money they have lost for the past 2 months by delivering online.

I thought most online freelancing jobs are doing okay though , take fiverr as an example . During the pandemic fiverr has gained more userbase as users are switching to online jobs

That is where you are wrong. Because of Covid more people are joining Fiverr selling their gigs, but there's no guarantee that there are enough people buying their services. For example, what if there are 100 writers but only one buyer? Even before corona Fiverr is already saturated, way too many workers, not that many customers, especially since now most people would conserve their money at least until things went back to normal.

Hmmm you have a point, i guess i have turned a blind eye to the buyer side of fiverr , probably also the reason why fiverr is advertising itself greatly now . Nowadays i see tons of ads notif of fiverr from brave browser

I found the same.
The big companies gone bankrupt so quickly.
It's middle range companies doing good. They are sustaining and fighting to stand and not loose their market.
Hope when this pandemic ends, things will get better soon.
you forgot the small business that have been heavily affected, big companies have moneys and resources to salvage their company , small business do not

@microunit actually, the small businesses have not gone bankrupt. They seem to have completed destroyed, affected in worst ways. They are waiting for some magic to happen. Till then, they are fighting for survival of their business because this pandemic has taken 5 months of break in row. Not at all helpful.

Being bankrupt and being closed down forever (destroyed) are more or less the same. And no, there's no "magic" in real life, wake up please.
