As our privacy is important, identity documents are of the most important information of your privacy.

When you earn online, you are almost 100 % will face the situation that you will be asked to provide identity verification documents to them to receive payout there. Then we have to be calm and think the following things first :

The reliability and trust of that site (deeply check from forums, reviews, social media etc)?
The history of the site (old site ?)
Your earning amount is worth the case?
The popularity of the site (international with many long term users)?

If all these conditions passed, you can be confidence to give your identity verification documents to the sites, otherwise there should be some risk and I think I will rather not continue there.

I don't know this app, but have you tried to find some proof this site is legit, have you asked anyone? I wouldn't be so sure, but with a proof that everything is all right, why not?
Yep it is a legit site as far as i know. Because they have license to operate. And they are 4 yrs in the industry? I guess. So far so good . The only thing is the id verification . If it is a normal practice or protocol. I guess i will follow it.

In philippines. There is an app which is bitcoin wallet at the same time you can use it for paying bills and other stuff. You been asked to provide complete and real information. And at the same time they will ask for identity verification which you will send your id together with selfie. Is it legit? Is it a normal practice or protocol?

If you will pay some bills then you should give real information. It would be weird that some John Doe pays your bill. Also when you pay your bill with fake account, on bills are real information so they still can access it.

As much as possible
you should not share your personal documents online. This may lead to serious case like stealing your id and using it for other site.

I already have made fake identity card for such sites; real information is only for Paypal type of sites, as for others I can only share my real name and city, but not all details because they can misuse identity.

Yes. You should only trust those sites like paypal that is proven to be safe and
tested. Never ever share documents to those people who pretend to agent or representative of paypal, just make sure to do the transactionns on the main site only.

Many scammers are using fake identity for themselves, and they ask for identity of others for something that cannot be trusted; so fake identity is used for them only when there is a must to do choice; yet I do not join a site which asks for more personal information.

Its a very tricky situation and I once did that on Pico workers but I don't think its a good thing and website shouldn't ask for personal documents just to pay a smaller amount like 5-10 dollars.

This is indeed a tricky question. It is very obvious to swindle the members. Personal documents like credit card or debit card wouldn't be divulged or submitted particularly its number.

I am of the belief that websites shouldn't be allowed to demand any sort of Identification documents from us as these documents can be misused by many websites and these days its like a trend of websites to ask for documents before payments.

I avoid GPT sites that ask for Id but it's hard to not give it to some payment processors because I need cash from my bank. I also give id to few exchangers online but i'm scared to give it to more sites in the future. I'm already nervous that these sites have my id.

Actually there are some earning sites that have reputable track records at least some have existed 10years or more, one can risk it for such sites especially if you are to recieve payment in thousands of dollars

This is true, we have to be shrewd when it comes to giving out identity information. Some have been known to use this information to create all kinds of havoc in other people's lives. We have to do our research and know who we are dealing with before sharing certain details with them.

It's really something we all cannot avoid. Especially if you are in the biz. You must have to submit some sort of information. Just don't submit harmful information like your credit card number, your password, and others, whether the company is trusted or not. In short many trusted companies never ask you for the full credit card, except e commerce companies. Most of them only ask you for some digits, especially for verification.

Sometimes you have to do a KYC for verification. For example with airdrops, you probably did some before.
My government made an app so you can do that safely.
Actually pretty funny how progressive they are. Personally I watermark every document I upload with the site, the date and what it was for with big transparent letters. When there is a breach in the future I know who to blame, and people cant reuse the documents because they have a big watermark and that is too hard to remove within a few seconds.

Pretty funny image:

Translation: Dont get copied, Keep your ID/passport secure.
I might make a guide in the future on how to safely use passports and stuff online with this app and guide people through this app since its made by the Dutch government, which is pretty trustworthy. Its really simple to watermark documents this way and everyone should watermark their documents anyway.

If App is made by a Government, then it might be trust worthy, however this might not be available in most of International language. English availability will make it usable.

I love the concept of water mark cos this is more like evidence in the form of reference. The idea of the app is a good one but probably it is limited for your country alone.

As far as I know the whole app is avaible in english and you can download it worldwide from the appstore.
Checking it on my phone that is set to English the text shows up in English.
Iphone/Google Play. You can also do a search for "kopieID" and you will find the apps on the official site from the government.

If you want you can try it and report back to us to see if its working in your country too.
I think that it doesnt require a dutch id card either, bet you can use any card on it. Might need some work if you have multiple pages because it only lets you photograph one photo before the watermark stuff pops up.
Here in the Netherlands they advertise a lot with it online since ID theft happens a lot and this way its easy to prevent.

There is no problem for the site which is already verified and authenticated by member/users as legit. But the problem lies on the newly created online maring site that requires your identity especially when you make the first cash out. Then what will you do? Are you not going to give it out?
